This building jumped out at me as right from a fairy tale!

"Thank you, thank you very much" for all the comments that I receive on my photo stream.

Classic Canadiana.

The Big Apple; Colborne, Ontario.

The Lobby

Coming from a tropical, third world country, The Empire State Building

tour was an unforgettable experience. The view up on top was beyond my expectations,

the lights and cool 3 degrees celcius or so of New York would strike you as soon as you step on the view deck.

Majestic, opulent and serene; those are the first words that you would think of once you see New York City,

at 1200 feet from the ground, New York City is as quiet as a church on a monday morning. Here you get to admire

this urban jungle in a quiet environment.

In order to go up, you must at least pay $30.00 for the ticket (some may find this expensive but getting up there

was really worth it). Leave your tripod in the hotel, as building security would confiscate it since tripods are

prohibited items on the viewdeck.. I think this is done in order for guests to buy panoramas found on the souvenir

store at the end of the tour.

Ferrying passengers to the top are high-speed elevators that take you from the 2nd floor to the peak in just seconds!

Accompanying me in this tour is an iphone shaped tablet that has an overview of everything about the building; history,

construction, developers, materials, future enhancements and all the other trivias about this iconic structure.

questioner: what is the best game show on tv after jeopardy!?

contestant: um...the weakest link?

questioner: get the hell out of my cab!

My first attempt in using HDR. This picture was taken top deck of the Rockefeller Center. Please give me your thoughts - i'm still relatively new in photography.

Orchard Beach, Pelham Bay Park, Bronx, New York City

Orchard Beach, known as "the Riviera of the Bronx," is a small. sandy oasis set alongside the quiet waterside experience within a backdrop of vast picnic lawns, sports courts and playgrounds, and surrounding forest, meadow and salt marsh.

There's a lot to do at Orchard Beach besides sunbathe, swim, and build sand castles. Twenty-six hard-surface sports courts offer opportunities for basketball, tennis, handball and volleyball. There are also two playgrounds - Pelican Playground at Section5 offer spray showers; Orchard Beach Playground ay Section 13 is on the sand. In-season, beach concessions sell food and drink, as well as beach souvenirs, toys, and necessities. Summer programming includes occasional contrast the main pavilion stage (Section 9) and Urban Park Ranger talks and walks start from the Orchard Beach Nature Center at Section 2. Nearby nature trails traverse rocky coastline, salt marsh and woodlands on Hunter and Twin Islands off the northernmost end of the promenade. Favorite fishing spots can be found along The Lagoon where you can also launch your kayak or canoe.

NYC Parks & Recreation maintains 14 miles of beaches, all of which are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. During beach season, lifeguards are on duty daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Swimming is prohibited when lifeguards are not on duty and in closed sections. Closed sections are marked with signs and/or red flags.

DIRECTIONS:

Orchard Beach in Pelham Bay Park in Bronx NYC is very easy to get to, take the #6 subway to the last stop Pelham Bay Park / Bruckner Expressway then transfer to the BX29 bus and exit at Orchard Beach Circle. The beach and park are all in walking distance.

Central Park is een van de plaatsen die van New York zo’n aantrekkelijke stad maken. Het enorme park, 341 hectare groot, ligt in het centrum van Manhattan met ook veel water zoals het Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir

heading to the Big Apple

This is on our trip to New York City for the Thanksgiving weekend, 2022.

The Tanheath Hunt Hunter Pace held at The Big Apple orchard, Wrentham, Massachusetts. It was a bit wet, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
