The forest below Monte Amiata in Tuscany, Italy, is mesmerising when you are looking skywards amongst the high birch trees. We spent a long hour here pointing our lenses upwards to the clear clean Autumn sky. Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L, ISO 100, f8 at 1/160 second.

I felt a wee bit creative with this shot so made it black and white....lol. I know you don't see Asha's face here but you do see the back of her neck and upper back which shows off her lovely curls. It is a part of Asha that I rarely show in my pictures mainly because I focus on her face and because she is mostly wet...lol. I don't know why I like this picture maybe because I think it has texture and shows off Asha's fur beautifully and black and white just makes it more artistic I think...lol...Hope others think so too
This is the most mileage I've gotten out of a photo of myself on a bad hair day. Hurrah for scarves.

I really enjoyed stitching this piece of textured embroidery.
I also loved looking for bits and pieces to include in it such as beads, buttons, sequins and different threads. There's even a section of copper pipe in there. I've added a note to show where it is.

This autumn scene was taken in Portland, Connecticut, USA. This is my first photo using my own texture creation composed of dried grass clippings.
My Leather couch in the living room. It has a lot of great texture. Have a wonderful holiday week. HMM.
