I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

A big "Thank You" to Kim Klassen (http://www.kimklassencafe.com/) for her amazing textures!

I`ve been reading a book by Freeman Patterson on seeing, this is what I`ve seen so far. You can shoot landscapes only so much of the time. Time to expand.

no this is not the complete Maximilian von Montegla, nor it's himself, This is just a very small part of his colossal statue standing at the Promenadenplatz in Munich. This is the only piece of art, there are at least five of them. The most curios one, the di-Lasso-statue dar, or as it called in Munich the Michael Jackson statue. Still today there are fresh flowers, pictures and small gifts from his fans. Just because Michael used to stay at the Bayerischer Hof.

The funny part of the picture, we went there with some friends to photograph the lights of the Promenadenplatz, and try something new. For example manual mode, tripod always the same position, just change the white balance. I looked at the pictures, the light very different on each picture. Just did not get it. But the answer from our guide Chris was simple. The lights were on automatic timers, going dark to bright within a short time. But not all of them at the same time, this would be to easy. But this is another story.

The real story, we are packing up, because we want to get some Glühwein, mulled wine, since it's close to christmas evening. So standing there, ready stow away camera, tripod and other stuff, the last couple of pictures, yes guessed rigth Maximillian

My first outing to Point Arkwright on saturday morning with Kim, Maria & Kush. Aside from the freezing cold wind it was quite enjoyable rock hopping around the headland admiring the different textures and shapes that have been carved over time.

Not much in the way of colour due to the clouds but mother nature did provide some really nice diffused light at around 7:30am which I took advantage of once I found a decent composition. We had the run out tide and as it slowly got lower it made it a heap easier to get around the rocks. A fantastic spot on the Sunshine Coast with endless amounts of shapes & textures..."I'll Be Back"

A coastal town on Queenslands Sunshine Coast, Point Arkwright was named in honour of Sir Richard Arkwright, the inventor of the modern cotton spinning factory system and machinery. It is tied in somewhere down the line with Point Cartwright, which was named after Edmund Cartwright who developed weaving and combing equipment which compliment Arkwright's inventions. A 2 min drive from Coolum Beach which boasts Mt. Coolum & according to some it's the second largest rock in the world.
