I developed my second concept: The superhero has conquered Cereal Mountain with nothing but a spoon! What a feat! :)
In terms of composition and readability, I think I was successful. But I had very different plans for the coloring. I'm really, really held back by the fact that I have little experience with Photoshop and Illustrator. I had intended to digitally paint this piece to add shadows and depth, but I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the background, let alone use any brushes (yes, even after a couple tutorials and endless attempts). So I was limited to live painting. It took away a lot of the detail I had in my penned drawing, but the blocky coloring adds to the comic-like aesthetic of the final design.

- Para mi fue un año de altos y bajos.. comenze bien con las alas en alto y yo mismo sin querer me fui desplumando hasta llegara a piso y mas que eso pase dentro de la misma tierra para llegar a sentir lo que es el verdadero dolor y sufrimiento.

- Un amigo mio (el futuro padrino de mi bebe) esta pasando por las mismas o similares que yo y le doy todo animo desde aca el inframundo donde estoy ahora y que paso a pasito subiendo esta eterna escalera, llegare a ese anhelado 2011 que yo se que sera mucho mejor que este 2010 caotico, pero que por fin se va y nos da nuevas vibras y opciones de ser felices.!!

Boy Scouts of America National Jamborees are quadrennial gatherings of thousands of scouts from around the country and the world. The first was held in 1935 in Washington, DC. With the advent of World War II, however, these huge events were deferred for the duration of the war.
In the late 1940s, the Cold War commenced-an unsettling period of repeated crises and tensions between former allies the United States and the Soviet Union. For reassurance, citizens looked back to the founding ideals of democracy, and interest in sites and stories of the American Revolution was strong. When the Boy Scouts of America decided to reestablish jamborees, they chose Valley Forge, the icon of the American Revolution.
Valley Forge served as the site of three National Jamborees, in 1950, 1957, and 1964.

Fairford Church Windows

Since 1986 there has been a programme of restoration of the windows by the Barley Studio in York.
The twenty-eight windows have been used to express and teach by pictures the Christian faith for nearly 500 years. No other parish church in the land has retained a complete set of late medieval glass. The plan of these windows illustrated the Christian faith as in the pages of a picture book. Opposite to the twelve prophets, who foretold the faith, stand twelve apostles, each beneath a sentence of the Apostles' Creed, which expresses the faith. Four evangelists, who recorded the faith, are opposite four doctors of the Church, who expounded the faith. Above stand twelve martyrs, or confessors, who suffered for the faith; opposite are twelve enemies of the faith. Within the chancel screens is shown, in the Life of Christ, the foundation of our faith. In the bottom centre panel of the East window stands Our Lord being judged by Pilate. In the West Window is shown Christ judging the whole world.

Transcribo de forma literal el texto que sobre él se incluye en la propia página web de la bodega: “Un vino estructurado pero fácil de beber, con taninos pulidos y un roble sutil. Un Toro moderno, frutal y civilizado para todo tipo de público. Expresivo y maduro, potente pero accesible”. Pues eso: un estupendo vino a precio muy razonable (entre 9 y 10€ en tienda).
