Folded paper envelopes filled with typewritten notes called "letters" were once very common. They did require this thing called postage (or a stamp) so the postal service would deliver them. Emails and texts contain less effort and often less thought.

Una ventana es un elemento arquitectónico que se ubica en un vano o hueco elevado sobre el suelo, que se abre en una pared con la finalidad de proporcionar luz y ventilación a la estancia correspondiente. También se denomina ventana a algun conjunto de dispositivos que se utilizan para cerrar ese vano.

 

El término proviene del latín ventus (viento), haciendo referencia a la capacidad de ventilación que proporciona. Antiguamente la ventana también se denominaba fenestra ó también denominada "finistra", de forma idéntica a como se llama en latín y en griego. Este sería el modo directo de derivación etimológica.
