Nothampton U3A's first outing of 2010 was to the Black Country Living Museum at Dudley. Which is a collection of historic buildings from all around the Black Country that have been moved and authentically rebuilt at the Museum, to create a tribute to the traditional skills and enterprise of the people that once lived in the heart of industrial Britain.

The day before our visit there was heavy snow, enough to cause Birmingham Airport to close, but we are pensioners - nothing is going to prevent us from going on an outing! Clad in walking shoes, thick jumpers, fleeces, scarves and hats we sallied forth!

Maybe the weather acted to our advantage, as there were not many people visiting the museum. We all had a wonderful day out, and the weather? Clear blue skies and sunshine!
