A test run comprised mostly of not yet in service CRRC bilevels departs Montreal West on its way downtown. Threatening clouds are nearby and it will pour about twenty minutes later. It is rumored that these cars will enter service within a month or two.
Every 4 weeks a Network Rail test train operates from York to Manchester Piccadilly seen in the evening sun at Huddersfield, with 43272 & 43250 still in LNER colours.

My fixer exhausted on this roll. I threw the film back in and sloshed it around a bunch, but you can still see feint sprocket streaks in the sky on this image.
More to come... one more 35mm then three 4x5's. Probably gonna post one a day since several of my groups allow only one photo per day.

I'd like to try capturing this one on 4x5. I know the general area where I took the photograph, but since I went off-trail for most of the roll, I'm not exactly certain of the location.

Dragged a car battery and an inverter out onto the back field to test out a 10m length of mains-powered ropelights. A bit daft really. I'm sure the lights themselves would manage with 12V is there was enough current getting through. 2A per metre apparently. I need to get it attached to a smaller battery if it's going to be mobile.
The 10m is doubledup twice here, so it's 4strands, each 2m in length, with the excess hidden, as swinging 10m straight out proved to keep hitting bushes, and was a bit iffy. Probably a 2-person job really. But it's got potential as a largescale LP tool as it's bright. This is a 2.5s exposure, so they're moving quite quickly, at a greater distance, moved slower, they should still show up OK.
