We went to Brentwood for some cherry picking and saw this gopher peaking out from his den to reach out for the fallen cherries. I actually held out phone really close for my shot and he wasn't even fazed by it at all.
Taken underwater the other day. This model had red hair and I was tempted to go very "Little Mermaid" with it but decided to against it. The reflection in this one was interesting to me and the flow of the fabrics...it seemed very much like a butterfly spreading its wings, so I played with it a little bit..
I hope that a creative week will be had by all! I've been a bit...tired lately. Just fatigued. But I'm hoping that I can get my energy up enough to create lots of different pictures this week. And with any luck (meaning if I can fix my car in time) I'll be in the grand canyon this time next week.

Who doesn't like cake? A big creamy stodgy sponge cake dripping with icing and cream. Go on go on go on go on….
This morning I found Sensei Wu on the steps of the temple watching his Ninjas train. I quickly snapped a shot before he spotted me :-)
This set is making me tempted to start watching Ninjago......
We want to show you what seduction really is…

Julie mangoes on a tree in Tobago. These are still days from being ripe enough to pick - they get that beautiful blush from being in direct sun most of the day.

This week was awesome! My family and I took Madeline down to my Aunty's property and spent a lovely & relaxing week together. After taking her around Sydney the previous week, it was nice to just enjoy a place we know so well with the new member of our family. We drank lots of tea, ate too much food, watched a lot of movies, played a fair few games, saw some wombats and kangaroos & chilled by the fire.
On this particular morning, Madeline had made her way into my room and called out my name. She told me that Christian and her were going to take pictures in the fog and asked whether I'd like to join. Well, I practically jumped out of bed and got dressed as quickly as I could. I had no idea what time it was - I didn't care. So, we all made our way to the forest area of the property and just snapped away. We had no ideas and just winged it. I thought of this really quickly, just before our fingers and toes were about to fall off. Thanks to Madeline & Christian for modelling.
I have a few from this week I want to upload so keep a look out! Make sure to check out Madeline & Christian's streams too :)

Another still life fruit shot. This time a juicy apple to experiment with. Three portable flash units were used to provide the lighting.
MiaBia_DC. Almost too beautiful to paint, but too tempting not to try.
For Julia Kay's continuingly sparkling portrait party.

Semla - a Swedish tradition connected with Shrove Tuesday. Though nowadays it seems you can buy them year round in the stores.
Strobist info: One Godox AD200 camera right in a 60cm square softbox with grid. Bounce card camera left to fill in the shadows.

For the Macro Mondays theme: Glaze - HMM - MM
A difficult task this week, because of the tempting subject. Just not that easy to keep my scene in one piece.
The subject this week is a small Dutch pastry we call "Tompouce". It is puff pastry with cream and pink glaze. Sometimes, on special occasions, the glaze can have a different color. In this case it is a mini-Tompouce; only one bite and a mouth full treat. Just a small disadvantage: if you try to eat it properly, it's gonna be a mess. So the best way to eat it with no spill: just one big bite and enjoy!
Thank you for stopping by, for your interest, your views, your faves and comments. I really appreciate it.
