One of my commercial shoots: Photos featuring Chinese models as wallpapers. Those were downloadable on a Philips microsite. It was for the launch of a new "3D Shaver". The idea was to show four different women: A model, an artist, a office worker and an CEO.

This photo was not one of the final 3 that were offered as a wallpaper. I still like it though, and share it here on flickr.

Attached to a big bell, so why do they leave it hanging there ;)

This is one from the "Tribute to Albert Anker " -Session.

We shot in a historic farmhouse and the idea was to create photos that look like paiintings by Albert Anker (Swiss painter 1831 - 1910) de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Anker

Good to see one of these, albeit in an extremely faded condition! I wonder why the driver's door has not faded quite as much. Who's tempted to polish this?!

I think the GT is just a fancy name for one of the later Sierra models, nothing particularly sporty about it! A bit more unusual than other Sierras, my first GT. Just 50 on the roads, I don't think there were too many estate GTs?

A Monk Getting Tempted On The Mountain Top.

Up here high above the crowds and civilization below.

One would think temptation would be far away from the soul,

On the contrary the mind and spirit can reek havoc on the senses.

Many feelings and thoughts can hammer at the soul,

The monk with his training and knowledge.

Hopefully can put such things in perspective,

and come out fresher and cleaner than before.

but some do fall into the abyss of shame and self doubt,

The strong ones shall teach in the future.

Hopefully their teachings will take root,

in the little ones coming up.

On the return back to the car from the first failed mission to Sugar Loaf Lighthouse (see previous post) we passed back past this gorge we'd previously seen on our way up and I thought I'd have a try at getting right in on the detail for a more abstract interpretation.

It was funny to hear the comments of everyone who passed by: "I reckon I could swim through that...".

I agree though - there was something about this scene that inspired temptation - for me though, that temptation was just to take a photo of it and keep my feet dry...

Failing to adhere to the instructions of the photographer to stand still, the fellow on the right pays the price for that hurried drag on a cigarette.

A trio of Gefreiter from Landwehr Infanterie Regiment Nr.99 tempt fate by posing for a photograph underneath what appears to be a bullseye target adorning the entrance to a shelter.

Was tempted to call it "Temple of Doom", too much Indiana Jones, eh?

Went to Prambanan again this time in the hopes of having more luck with the weather and maybe catch a sunset... and it started to rain as soon as we arrived...

Here one of the smaller towers on the left just behind the main tower shot as close as I could get to it (was fenced off) at 10mm. This is a 5 exposure (-4/-2/0/+2/+4) HDR2, playing around with HDR EFEX Pro...

It was very tempting to go crazy with one of these macros, and I just might still! This one has modest adjustments and a cinematic 16:9 crop.

It is so tempting to put words in this Ostrich's mouth by titling it as some sort of smart talking animal... but I just won't do it. Somehwere in California. I'll remember later.

We need a new PC - still on Win7 which won't last for ever even though it works fine! Thanks Gates !!! Cash-in-a-Dash have got a used custom built machine for £199 - Win10, i5 [2] processor [3.7Hz] which is quite dated? A huge HDD, 8G RAM, DVD R/W but no card reader .... What do you reckon?

Wasn't really in the mood for it, but the Fife sky tempted me out again...

It's tempting to think this hand railing might be of Victorian installation but I think it's more likely to be first half 20th Century. Probably made by a local blacksmith. There used to be one at the East end of Queen's Terrace, repaired a boat trailer of mine. Now you'd never know there'd been a smithy there these days.

There's about a mile or so of this deeply wooded glade, today was full of small birds going about their small-bird business. Hadn't foreseen returning home this way or I'd have brought a different camera. These 1-2-3 pix are just shot on my phone.
