Seal tartare with bannock crostini topped with quail egg, $20

Lunch @ "Lobster X Chicken", a new eatery in town in Shanghai.

 

"Served with tomato basil soup with rice cake, Malay noodles, pub chips".

 

Really, one is here for one thing only - the 98RMB sweet and supple lobster!! The sides were all rather forgettable items - "Mee Goreng" instant noodles, canned tomato soup and potato fries snacks just wouldn't cut it elsewhere. For 98RMB a Maine lobster (claimed), the pitiful sides were well forgiven!

The foreground foam is a photo of the tuna dish (pincho). Tuna tartare with coconut milk and lime. It was good, but nothing I haven't had before.

Tartare of big eye tuna: crispy buckwheat, cauliflower parfait, american caviar.

..at Au Metro, Pernety, Mopntparnasse.

Quail's egg, capers, toast, garlic chips.

 

A decent tartare.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini e Violante Gardini a Stoccolma: prima la visita con Karina Tholin a visitare il mercato alimentare (il loro Eataly) e la sede della loro Associazione Sommelier.
