A very different take on the traditional tartare with peanuts(?) truffle oil, cumin, sumac, coriander, and fennel.
I felt it was too aggressively spiced and it drowned out the flavour of the beef.

Great twist on beef tartare with pickled cucumber, chiles, onion, herbs and aromatic rice powder.

Inspired by fattoush salad, Estia’s beef tartare features raw diced tenderloin mingling with cucumber, olives, caper berries, sumac and house-made feta, $19
English Peas, Red Radish, Pea Shoots and Young Coconut Panna Cotta. Another very fresh and clean dish. The peas were especially a standout to me, they had a lovely snap to them.
Just the night prior, I had seen Battle Kanpachi on Iron Chef America, so this was a fun one to order.

Lunch @ "Lobster X Chicken", a new eatery in town in Shanghai.
"Served with tomato basil soup with rice cake, Malay noodles, pub chips".
Really, one is here for one thing only - the 98RMB sweet and supple lobster!! The sides were all rather forgettable items - "Mee Goreng" instant noodles, canned tomato soup and potato fries snacks just wouldn't cut it elsewhere. For 98RMB a Maine lobster (claimed), the pitiful sides were well forgiven!
