Our drive for the best pie in the land brought us to Redwing, at the Pottery Place Historic Center. Just outside the center in the parking lot, are the remains of what could have been the kiln - probably best to keep it away from the main warehouse. I suspect further that this switch was for powering the fans.

The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT (350D) uses this switch to tell it that an external flash unit is mounted. If the switch is depressed, the camera will not pop up the onboard flash and will not fire the onboard flash even if it is popped up.

ALP-45DP AMT 1368 switches multilevel cars in the RTM Pointe St-Charles Maintenance Centre. Behind it is the CN Pointe St-Charles Yard.
This spur off of the former Spreckles Branch in Salinas, CA serves International Paper, an important supplier for packaging fresh produce from the Salinas Valley. The spur is lined with Monterey Pines as UP GP40-2 1342, patched SSW-GP-60 1068, and out-of-site GP40-2 1447 pull two tanks from the loading docks of the paper company.
With the normally northbound track close because of a grade crossing project at Deerfield, Amtrak's Empire Builder crosses back from the southbound main at Rondout. In a moment, it will cross CN's former Elgin Joliet Eastern. The switch in the foreground is to Metra's Fox Lake Branch.

After sunset, South Shore Freight and lease power switches the CN/EJ&E interchange at Goff on the east side of Gary. The roadway to the left is an old alignment of US 12/20.
This former Canadian Pacific Railway 0-6-0 switching locomotive was captured in the Saskatchewan Western Development Museum pioneer village in North Battleford. A member of the CPR U3c class, it was built in 1905, being sold to the Manitoba & Saskatchewan Coal system in 1949.
