L516 rolls east between the switches at the CO-OP here at Cylon. The customer here is served by a wye. On weekdays L574 comes over from CF Yard and spots empties on the closer (west wye) then picks up loads off the east wye. Covered hoppers are spotted for loading by a trackmobile. October 16, 2021.

Looking for a really small magnetic switch? This is one of the smallest we've been able to find-- just 3mm in diameter and 200mm long. Comes with bare wires and two micro magnets.
One from last night’s shenanigans in London…can’t tell you the location as it is very sensitive! After some limbo style entry points and wading across a sea of glutinous mud, running about like a bunch of girls at a JLS concert to find the way in …we did!
Many…many..many stairs later and a late night phone call to Matt (you are our saviour) we found the still beating heart of this iconic landmark on the London horizon. So out came the wangles and fish eyes and many many cross words about photo bombing !
Such a small room to control such a huge place and for 7 urbex folk to squeeze in!
Then…the roof…the London rain and the early morning chill. Ended off by many many many more stairs to find the way back out….we should hang our heads in shame…like a bunch of newbs !
Back across the sea of mud, very wet by now and very tired. What do we find…the nice chaps employed to keep us out in the first place and have sealed us in!
Thank the urbex gods that one of us smoked and a lighter got us out !

I played Animal Crossings until I was trying to decide what pants to wear on my Pegasus Island and I realized I wasn't wearing pants in real life. I got dressed and ran some errands.!
The F and the SD45 work the elevator track at Allenton, WI. It was odd to see the bulky-looking F45 traversing the barely visible side track and making subtle switch moves.
This is a set of 6 photos showing the local Santa Fe job switching the elevator at Kentland, Indiana on July 2nd, 1986. Train had ATSF 3063-3071 and arrived with 9 cars. Crew set 5 hoppers in the elevator and departed with 4 cars.
In this shot, the crew is seen pulling back out while the flagman waits to realign the derail. The head man is riding out and looks to be trying to tell the flagman something, who was looking at me...lol
