These are the 8 gauge copper wires installed. These will support the reels and keep them off the bottom of the tank. The ends are filed flush with the outside of the tube. This is one of the photos from some film washing tanks. I finished the first one then began thinking about it and decided to try a second design. This one is with galvanize pipe instead of copper so that is cheaper, they are still over $25 to build though.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Dozens of Soldiers from the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) joined members of veteran services organizations to honor the families of fallen heroes during the 6th Annual Operation: Love Letters event conducted March 24, 2018, at St. John Vianney Catholic School in Orlando.
Hosted by the Orlando Survivor Outreach Services, a U.S. Army community support program dedicated to helping families cope with grief from losing loved ones who have served their country. Operation: Love Letters provides a forum of fellowship for family members to share their memories of the deceased through food, games, music, arts and crafts. Conceived in Orlando in 2013, this local activity has transformed into a U.S. Army sponsored flagship program for the entire nation with international reach.
The event commenced with full military honors as the 143d ESC’s color guard and the Patriot Riders Guard led the opening ceremony in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star-Spangled Banner. The color guard then set up a Fallen Comrade table and conducted a “13 Folds” ceremony to honor all American service members who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Miles Espaillat, the youngest of three sons of Maj. Gen. Francisco Espaillat, lit the candle on the Fallen Comrade Table. Espaillat’s father served as the commanding general of the 143d ESC from 2014-2016. He died of a heart attack April 7, 2017, while serving as general officer for the Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve.
After the opening ceremony, the family members shared their most cherished memories of their son, daughter, parent or spouse. Some brought framed photos while others baked their loved ones’ favorite dessert. The 143d ESC Soldiers joined several family members in creating crafts and writing love letters.
Representatives from the USO, Veterans Affairs, Operation Military Matters and the Orlando Vet Center also attended the festivities to share the many free resources such as grief counseling, care packages, and financial assistance tailored to families coping with the loss of a loved one.
Operation: Love Letters concluded with its most cherished tradition as Soldiers, families and volunteers gathered at the school’s courtyard to release dozens of balloons with messages addressed to their fallen heroes.

Hundreds rallied in Boston at the State House and marched through city in support of abortion rights. The event was a sister march of the national Women's March organization, which is holding hundreds of rallies across the country this weekend. The rally and march in Boston was scheduled to happen simultaneously with the national Women's March in Washington, D.C. Organizers of the "Women's Wave" event in Boston said they were taking to the streets on Saturday in an effort to get more support for women and pro-choice candidates ahead of next month's midterm elections.

This cutaway drawing was created by John Roberts for his book on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid in the "Anatomy of the Ship" series. It depicts the structural details of the hull in the area of the No. 3 Fire Room. Roberts is among my favorite naval draughtsman, and it's a shame that his plans are difficult to come by.

Ireland, Tuesday April 23rd 2013: Presenter Ray D’Arcy and celebrity chef Neven Maguire officially marked the sixth annual Job Shadow Day, taking place today Wednesday 24th, together with the Irish Association for Supported Employment (IASE). The highlight of IASE National Supported Employment Week, Job Shadow Day sees hundreds of individuals with disabilities throughout Ireland take the opportunity to shadow a workplace mentor as he or she goes through a normal working day. Hundreds of employers throughout Ireland are involved.
A number of high profile individuals are taking part in Job Shadow Day, joining Ray D’Arcy and Neven Maguire to include: An Taoiseach Enda Kenny; Minister Joan Burton; RTÉ’s Derek Mooney; Kildare senior football manager Kieran Mc Geeney; Minister Leo Varadker; presenter and journalist Brendan O’Connor; Prime Time’s Richard Crowley; Senator David Norris and adventurer Mark Pollock.
Job Shadow Day is designed to give people with disabilities a unique opportunity to get a close up look at the world of work for one day or one week in April each year to discover and learn about the skills and education required to compete and succeed in the work place.
IASE Chairperson Teresa Mallon commented: “The response from employers across the country, both private and public sector, has once again been absolutely fantastic. What we are seeing here today is a huge number of businesses and people with disabilities coming together to send out a really clear message that they want an inclusive society where everyone has the right to work, to express their ability and to contribute and take part fully in Irish society.”
IrishJobs.ie, Ireland’s number one recruitment website, is once again one of the main sponsors of National Supported Employment Week and the Job Shadow initiative.
Jane Lorigan, CEO Europe of Saongroup.com and MD of IrishJobs.ie said: “We are delighted to be participating in Job Shadow Day again this year. Here at IrishJobs.ie, we believe in an accessible and inclusive workplace. We hope that by participating in initiatives like Job Shadow Day, employers will have the opportunity to see the valuable contribution that an individual with a disability can make to an organization and the positive impact it can have on everyone involved.”
During IASE National Supported Employment Week (22nd to 28th April), Supported Employment organisations, jobseekers and employers showcase employment for people with disabilities with a variety of themed events, seminars and a national publicity campaign raising awareness of employment for people with disabilities.

PANMUNJOM - With weapons at the ready, members of 194th Combat
Sustainment Support Battalion set out at dawn to conduct convoy
live-fire training here, March 25.
The fast-paced exercise exposed Soldiers to many of the real-world
perils found on today's asymmetric battlefield, culminating in a series
of drills designed to hone their skills in reacting to road-side bombs
and enemy small-arms fire.
"These Soldiers have been training for the past six months to prepare
for this day and their hard work is evident in the outstanding
performance I've seen throughout the battalion," said Command Sgt. Maj.
Nichelle S. Fails.
At times gritty and intense, the Soldiers worked in teams to zero in on
enemy targets with their rifles and machine guns.
"This scenario is interesting and very realistic," said Pvt. Jiwoo Kim,
a KATUSA assigned to the battalion.
Pvt. Dylan Florres, a battalion mechanic and one of the day's enemy
combatant role-players, sees the training as realistic and a good way to
build unit cohesion. "What we are doing is basically helping Soldiers
learn how to train safely and work as a team," he said.
"Everybody is highly motivated and ready to fight," said Chief Warrant
Officer 4 Joseph Williams, HHC, 194th Combat Support Sustainment
Battalion, safety officer. "Taking care of our Soldiers is very
important, we don't want any injuries. That's why we do risk assessments
and go over all of the details to make this a very safe, yet realistic,
training environment."
Master Sgt. Kenneth Ashley, the day's pyrotechnics NCO, described the
training as important in building teamwork within the battalion. "Here
in Korea and in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, we need to make sure
our Soldiers know how to react under fire and to ensure they are
prepared for anything the enemy throws at them."

The pressure of the weight of this structure and everything and everyone in it is putting pressure on this post.
Think in terms of a person wearing shoes and the pressure of their weight on the surface beneath them. A 200 lb. man exerts 20 psi (pound per square inch) because the weight is supported momentarily by the heel. A 100 lb. woman exerts many more psi when she wears heels. Depending on the area of the heel, she can exert as much as 1600 psi under a 'stiletto heel' ¼ inch on a side. Support posts are much like stilettos.
This post is bending and twisting under the pressure. Look familiar? Contact Peak Structural at 303 243 3028 or www.peakstructural.com/
