Two men write their messages of support on a the plywood placed outside the the Hudson's Bay Company downtown Vancouver location. Messages like these are being written all over the downtown core where windows have been covered up after a small number of people caused havoc after the Canucks loss in the Stanley Cup final.
Fünfzehn Aktivisten haben sich heute von Berlin Lichtenberg aus auf den Weg zunächst an den Grenzübergang Spielfeld zwischen Österreich und Slowenien gemacht, um mit ihrer "Refugees Support Tour" benötigte Waren wie Zelte, Lebensmittel und sanitären Bedarf zu den wartenden Geflüchteten zu bringen. On April 16, 2019, with support from USAID’s SAFEMed project the Ukrainian Ministry of Health (MOH) held a national conference in Kyiv, Ukraine bringing together over 90 clinical experts, economists, and procurement specialists to optimize public procurements of medicinal products. Such a multi-disciplinary group met together for the first time as a result of the new procurement process developed by the MOH. Moving forward clinical experts will work side-by-side with Category Managers of the newly established state enterprise “Medical Procurement of Ukraine” and patient groups. Such an approach will combine evidence-based medicine with the knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical devices market and Ukrainian patients’ needs to develop transparent and evidence-informed recommendations to the MOH for the procurement of medicinal products using public funds.
The conference was opened by Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Ulana Suprun, who emphasized the “importance of efficacy in public procurement which will have to be ensured and guaranteed by the newly-established groups of national experts, doctors–clinicians. ...In the past the Ukrainian medical procurement process was marked with non-transparency and corruption. From now on the nominated experts will bear responsibility for efficient public procurement. The main task ahead the experts’ group will be professional and unbiased view on patients’ needs in providing the Ukrainian patients more access to effective medicines.”
Conducted by SAFEMed, in close collaboration with the newly-established Health Technology Assessment (HTA) department at the State Expert Center, a practical afternoon session devoted to the integration of HTA into medical procurement process received special attention. From BMW E36's to Seat Super Copa's and even a Peugeot 205 GTI This Series has a Huge Amount of Variety Racing Within it.

Enduro KA -(Qualifying)
After a Long Days Racing and with Night Falling Fast The Headlights of The Enduro KA'S Began to Illuminate the Indy Circuit.
Every Part of the Track was a Wash with Darkness and The Only Thing Illuminating the Way for Each Driver was The Bright Headlights and LED'S Fitted to Each Car with some Teams and Driver Trying their Luck on the KA'S Standard Headlights to Brighten their Way to Victory.
A Silent Hum Came From the Engines as they Raced Around the Indy Circuit with Each Driver Pushing Hard to Set the Fastest Time Possible.
The Tension in the Air was Electrifying as Drivers Danced their Cars Through Traffic and Had Small Battles with One Another Trying to see what their Opponents Tactics were and How Brave each of Them Dare Go in Terms of Pace.
It Wasn't Long before Each Driver Began to Put their Right Foot Hard Down and Push their

Value(s) for Money? Philanthropy as a Catalyst for Social Change (March 6-9, 2014)
Increasing social and environmental challenges, writ globally, are raising the stakes for philanthropy to find "solutions". The deeply complex nature of these challenges, however, defies easy fixes and requires more sophisticated and diffuse systems level approaches. Is the philanthropic sector ready, or capable of meeting critical systemic challenges? Probably not, as seen through the lens of Michael Edwards in a recent think piece entitled 'Beauty and the Beast: Can Money Ever Foster Social Transformation?'.
Innovative funding mechanisms that support social change - like crowd-funding, social impact bonds, payments for eco-system services and prize-backed challenges - have diversified the funding landscape and brought in new resources. The system, however, is arguably out of balance with too much focus placed on revenue-generation, and directing financial resources, through the market. At the same time, less funding is available for the deeper, less tangible drivers of social change - change that is driven by the beneficiaries themselves and is inherently more democratic. Money, while a seemingly essential tool in change processes, can be a "curse", reinforcing or exacerbating the very circumstances and power imbalances at the heart of systemic social challenges.
The objective of this program, in partnership with Hivos, is to shape a new narrative on funding for deep social change that can influence current and future funding trends and global policies.
