I find the wake that follows boats and ships mesmerizing.
This image looks like the ocean painted it.
The beautiful deep sea blues and greens add depth, while the foaming white wash adds to the ocean's fluid motion.

Got close and personal to a very vintage movie projector. It was the first time I've ever seen one of these devices and I loved the look of it! It would be cool to have one of these on display and even luckier if I used it for its purpose. It's a purchase I'll definitely revisit in the future.

The former spa hotel Fürstenhof is a hotel complex in the southern quarter of the city of Eisenach in Thuringia. The buildings, which have been vacant since the mid-1990s, are in a ruinous condition. According to the ruling of the administrative court in Meiningen at the end of August 2021, the building may be demolished along with the ancillary buildings.
Investigations in 2000 and 2003 concluded that renovation was uneconomical. In 2004, the listed building status for the building complex was revoked - also in view of the structural decay and architectural losses during the GDR era.
To prevent a collapse, the ceiling of the foyer is completely supported with beams.

Hard to tell which one is actually providing the most support though.......the cabin or the ivy......

I had thought this old cypress stump on Armand Bayou was a nest site but it turns out it is currently just a waterfront diner, as both a male and this female Pileated Woodpecker stopped in for breakfast as I floated nearby.

I captured this image of a soybean field last fall in Knox County. I used the Skylum Luminar Neo software program to edit and filter the golden brown soybeans to yellow and deepen the blue of the sky. The Skylum company and team is based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Many on their team have remained in Ukraine and are working and sheltering. We have chosen to support Ukraine through Save the Children.

"Die ursprüngliche Idee für das Band des Bundes ist eine verbindende Geste. In einer doppelten Symbolik schlagen Regierungsbauten und die Gebäude für die demokratisch gewählten Abgeordneten eine Verbindung und symbolische Brücke zwischen Ost und West. Die Demokratie ist Bauherr. Dem 1995 begonnenen Bau geht die größte bis dahin dagewesene weltweite Projektausschreibung für öffentliche Bauten voran: 835 Architekten bewerben sich um die Aufträge. Es geht darum Deutschlands neue Regierungszentrale wie auch die Büros für die Abgeordneten des Parlaments zu entwerfen.
Den Zuschlag für die Neugestaltung des Spreebogens erhalten die Architekten Axel Schultes und Charlotte Frank. Paul-Löbe-Haus und Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus konzipiert der Architekt Stefan Braunfels. Verworfen werden die ursprünglich geplante Platzanlage Bürgerforum mit Cafés und Geschäften und zunächst die Verlängerung in Richtung Bahnhof Friedrichstraße. (...) Das Paul-Löbe-Haus ist benannt nach dem Reichstagspräsidenten und Alterspräsidenten des ersten Deutschen Bundestags. Es beherbergt die Büros von Abgeordneten, Sitzungssäle und die zentrale Besucherbetreuung. Besonders prägnant ist die Glasfassade an der Westseite. Schloss Nordkirchen is a palace situated in the town of Nordkirchen in the Coesfeld administrative district in the state of North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. The schloss was largely built between 1703 and 1734 and is known as the "Versailles of Westphalia" since it is the largest of the fully or partly moated Wasserschlösser in that region. It was originally one of the residences of the Prince-Bishopric of Münster.

Ein Holzzaun als Rankhilfe für eine rote Kletterrose. Zäune sind für mich oft Barrieren, die mich aussperren, aber hier erfüllt der Zaun einen guten Zweck.

A wooden fence as a climbing support for a red climbing rose. For me, fences are often barriers that lock me out, but here the fence serves a good purpose.
