I'm not sure of this--there are iron fastenings holding bars extending throughout the building of Tucker's Store (1825) [in Charlotte Court House, Virginia] apparently used as supports for the structure. As to age, I've been unable to find out. If my information is inaccurate regarding this device, I'd love a correction.

Closed up detail photo of my finished China Motor Bus Logistic Support Truck (Reg. No. EN6893) model.

____________________________________________

The rather less well known logistic support truck with Reg.No. EN6893 operated by China Motor Bus caught my interest. So I modified a Tomytec truck that has the same cab into the CMB EN6893. I only found one photo of the truck, so not sure how it looks on the hidden sides. But judging from the photo, it has a large liftgate at the back, so it should be easy to guess how it looks at the rear.

This truck was modified to a tow truck after New World First Bus took over China Motor Bus franchised bus service.

It was my honor to work as a volunteer photographer at Sunday night's Renal Support Network Teen Prom, an event created for teen kidney patients by RSN founder, Lori Hartwell, who missed her own prom due to kidney disease.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass of "Tenacious D" (and other celebrities) are dedicated supporters of RSN and the teen patients. This prom attendee asked Jack & Kyle to make goofy faces in their photo with her. Jack & Kyle played for the prom crowd, then stayed to sign autographs and take photos with everyone.

The latest SFA event was another fantastic success, even despite the lake-flat conditions. Fortunately, a good running start is all you need to stoke out a kid who only weighs 60 lbs. soaking wet! All volunteers were so on fire, and thoroughly exhausted after a cracking day out. Sooooo worth it! We’re counting down the days until the next event, 45 minutes north, 1 week from Saturday. More photo can be found on the SFA's facebook page -- www.facebook.com/surfersforautism. Please contact the SFA to offer your help!!

Traffic at the streets of Kandahar City

A Canadian Armoured Heavy Support Vehicle System drives through Kandahar City, Afghanistan, on route to a forward installation in the Panjwa’i District to deliver supplies. The vehicle stands out next to the small motorcycles and bikes that dominate the streets of Kandahar City.

Joint Task Force Afghanistan is providing support to Afghan security forces, enabling them to build and sustain a secure environment in which civilian leadership and government representatives will be able to – through district-level meeting and tribal shuras – implement governance.

Operation ATHENA is Canada’s participation in the International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan. Focused on Kandahar Province in southern Afghanistan since the fall of 2005, Op ATHENA has one over-arching objective: to leave Afghanistan to Afghans, in a country that is better governed, more peaceful and more secure.
