Support Staff Receives Surprise Treat
Jeremy Geerdes, the pastor at Debra Heights Wesleyan Church and active volunteer at Samuelson Elementary, has led his church in showing appreciation for the faculty and staff particularly during Teacher Appreciation Week in early May.
Last year they started something new when, in partnership with Zion Lutheran Church, they delivered 35 dozen cupcakes to the Prospect Support Facility to show their appreciation to the bus drivers, mechanics, IT, and everyone else in that building.
This year, notes of appreciation from Samuelson Elementary students were the cherry on top of this kind gesture.
