( Well, its not actually named as 'Sunset Boulevard' but if you ask me, I will take this one anyday over that much publicized one in LA. )
Taken in Saint Martin's Island, Bangladesh.
St. Martin's Island is the most beautiful 'Coral Island' where you will find live corals. Its only 30 km from Teknaf and you can go there by local motorboat, tourist boats, or sea truck.
This small coral island, about 10km (6mi) southwest of the southern tip of the mainland Bangladesh, is a tropical cliché, with beaches fringed with coconut palms and bountiful marine life. There’s nothing more strenuous to do here than soak up the rays, but it’s a clean and peaceful place without even a mosquito to disrupt your serenity.
In this Island, you will find the beautiful Coral reef , long Coral beach and lots of coconut trees. The local name of the coconut is Narikel and the original name of this Island is Narikel Jinjira is derived from that.

It's two for Tuesday! Generally, when I shoot a subject whether at Disney or anywhere else, I try to shoot it at multiple angles. So every Tuesday I will post a second photo of the subject in the comments... enjoy!

I met Adele in front of
the 99-cent Store on Sunset Boulevard
on a Monday night in Silverlake, down the
street from the El Cid. At the 99-cent store, everything
for sale costs 99-cents. I stopped in to buy my son
a present - a little Spiderman notebook - which was
right in my budget.
I ran into Adele when she was coming out, her arms
filled with groceries. I asked her if I could take her
photo, and she initially said no, and started sharing
much with me. The first topic was Social Security.
She asked me if I knew that if you waited until you
were 70 to retire, you would get $400 per month.
I asked if she waited, and she said no, that she
got fired from her job with United Airlines when she
was only 58 for talking about religion on the job. "Then
the woman who fired me," she said, "died. And she
was only in her thirties... Makes you wonder."
She told me I had nice teeth, and said that she
got a set of dentures which cost her $2000 - and they
broke, and her dentist refused to fix or replace them,
leaving her toothless.
She said she went to England for a while, and
liked it there a lot - said the people are really nice,
that "if you help them, they will help you back."
Then suddenly, as if she hadn't seen it before,
she looked at my camera, and asked what I was
doing. I told her of my continuing pursuit of
the angels of the angel city, and said I really
needed to take her photo. She changed her tune
immediately. "Oh, okay," she said, and smiled
at me, and presented me with a series of
expressions, all of which I quickly
captured out in the dark in front of the
big store.
As she was leaving, she turned back to
share a joke with me. "Why did the mouse
squeek?" she asked.
"Because it wasn't oiled."
I met her at the Cannibal Flower
art show and music extravaganza
in downtown L.A. on a sabado noche.
Though no one else was dancing, she
started to dance, and she was a sexy,
marvelous dancer, and I watched her
and took some photos of her. She was
swinging really gracefully and I was kind of
amazed by the way she encompassed the
whole vast space of this downtown loft with
her dance. Other people were watching her, too,
but she was free and happy. She took a break,
and asked me if I knew were the bathroom was.
I pointed it out, but the way was full of people,
and she couldn't see, so I happily volunteered to
walk her there, which delighted her. "You are such
a gentleman," she said, something nobody has
ever said to me, or if they have, it was a very long
time ago.

You're not human if you can walk down Sunset Boulevard at this time of day and not snap a picture of The Hollywood Tower Hotel... or five.
...5 exposure handheld HDR.
I will admit that not only was this the first time I've been through the regular (non FastPass) queue, it was also the first time I've seen the "fog" effect (which is actually mist). An unbelievably convincing effect that really adds to what is already an incredibly well done queue.

Door hardware on retail store on Sunset Boulevard at DHS.
We were able to spend to fantastic days with some of the best Disney photogs on Flickr this past week. Thanks to Matt Pasant, JeffB, Express Monorail, Todd_H, and Don Sullivan for a great time. Hope we all can do it again very soon!
All of that also means that I am really behind on feedback, but I WILL get caught up - it may take me a couple of days, but I don't want to miss a single thing!

Architectural abstract of facade that houses an ATM machine. I know that the building was designed based on a famous building in Hollywood, but I don't know what it is. It's quite unique, though.
Sometimes, as they say, you fall ass-backwards into a shot. Such was the case here. As we were in front of the BAH, and I was using my UWA and Matt his 70-200 (I think), I could tell (or maybe he told me) I was in Matt's way.
Thinking I could try my hand at shooting it from the side, I went over to this location. I really liked the distortion of the BAH, plus, there were cool spinning projections on the ground. It took a few tries to get them looking right, but in the end I was pleased with the result. So now I guess Matt is my inspiration for fireworks shots and BAH shots?! Man, things are rough...

Pixar Place
One of the frequent Disney-fanboy complaints that I see as the most illogical is that there is “too much Pixar” coming into Walt Disney World and Disneyland. This is ridiculous. First of all, Pixar IS Disney. Buzz Lightyear is inextricably Disney just like Mickey Mouse. Although Buzz wasn’t created by Walt himself, neither were Ariel or Simba, and no one seems to complain about their presence in the parks. Second, from about 1998 until 2009, anything high quality associated with Disney was also Pixar. Disney’s traditional hand-drawn animation division wasn’t exactly the paramount of quality at that time. Personally, I’d rather see an attraction made out of an excellent Disney movie, like Monsters, Inc., than out of garbage, like Chicken Little.
Beyond the facts that Pixar is Disney and Pixar is high-quality Disney, Pixar is actually fairly under-represented in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. There are only a handful of Pixar attractions spread across the resorts, whereas there are a plethora of ones based on traditional hand drawn animation.
Too much Pixar? Phhh...not enough Pixar!

I've seen this done before... but I had to give it a shot with the ultra wide angle and hand held HDR.

Fountain at Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Just looks cool and refreshing, and it is hot, hot, HOT here right now!
One of these days I'm going to get the camera and stalk some new and different prey...been locked up with construction/renovation going on for almost 7 weeks now, but we should be wrapping things up next week. Then we get to clean the carpet! That will be a great day. Even though they put down runners, it has taken a beating with all the dust and traffic. Whew!
Here’s another shot I took in the downpour at Hollywood Studios. I had to go with a rare (for me) 16x9 crop to eliminate all the extra ground and make the composition a bit better. It was raining so hard I had to keep the camera pointed down with the hood on or the lens would get instantly and completely covered in drops. This of course dictated my composition to some degree, but it was worth it to get some awesome water reflections on the ground. Like the CM who sought cover under the awning everyone else had already run for cover. I meanwhile was just photographing in the rain.

"Oh my God - it's full of stars"
(Arthur C. Clarke, 2001: A Space Oddysey)
This is a picture from Disney's Hollywood Studios' The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction. On the way up the tower, the elevator stops at one of the floors and the doors open to reveal a corridor populated by the ghostly occupants from 1939 (in the above photo), who then disappear. The corridor fades to a starlit night sky, except the window at the end of the corridor. The window then morphs into a more ghostly black-and-white version and shatters (like in the opening segment of each episode). It is a very cool effect - and having seen photos of it around the web, I figured it would be a perfect try at my new Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens. I think it turned out pretty well...
