This is an abstract sunset looking west across the Firth of Forth, from Silverknows, using an orange filter.
I captured this photograph recently of the Denver skyline at sunset. I was racing against time as the sun was dropping fast over the foothills and could tell by the clouds in the sky the sunset had all the possibilities in the world to be phenomenal! I was racing (carefully) along I-70 east towards DIA when I decided to jump off and look for a tall building. I spotted a nearby hotel and drove to the top of their 5 floor parking garage - this was still not high enough to see above the trees. I quickly ran inside with my gear and spoke to the concierge introducing myself and the situation outside. I asked if there would be any way to go up to the roof or gain access to a suite on the top floor. To my amazement they agreed and I was introduced to Tom, the security for the hotel, whom escorted me and stayed with me for the 30 minutes + to get this one image I felt was the "one".

Sunset @ Rapa Nui, Easter Island, Chile
The beautiful coastline, strong ocean waves, deep blue water and its compact size offers many opportunities on this Island for seascape photography, so I planned to stay many days here. But because of missing the flight so there were only two days left for me on this island, I had not much chances for seascape here as I expected.

Budapest is famous for its sunsets... apparently.
This one was taken from near Hero's Square, facing down Andrassy Ut.
I went up to Sparks in hopes of a stellar sunset this evening. But it was just ok. Not like the night Skyler got his great shot : ) I met Blue hour here also.
Another one from the Sydenham Camera Club outing, not a very good composition as got on the beach late to set up but the sky was nice.
On Sunday evening i hopped on a train and headed to Barnham once there i walked to Halnaker windmill on the South Downs over looking Chichester. When i arrived i was greeted with one sail the other 3 must of been damaged in heavy winds a couple of weeks back.
Not to let this deter me i search around for other subjects. As the light was fading fast i decided the best option was to shoot a sunset. I hope you all agree!!!
Please can you let me know if the foreground is to dark or not as my screen is not calibrated yet. Thank you.
Taken last night at farm ...sunset ...if you stood on one side of house the sunset was pinks and blues but if you walked just a few feed to side of house this is the colors the camera picked up .......
Amazing clear powerful deep orange sunset Vancouver BC, fitting end to the first day of September, 2013
Hier soir, il n'y avait guère de nuages pour embellir le sunset.
Les seuls présents se trouvaient à l'horizon. Alors, je suis allé les chercher. :)

As we were leaving the Orlando Wetlands Park today, we enjoyed this beautiful sunset on our way out. I had gone there equipped for taking wildlife photos, so I had no tripod and only my zoom lens to work with. I made my best attempt to capture all the beautiful color--mother nature is always full of wonderful surprises.
