Looking towards Anglesey from Caernarfon
5 second exposure at f11.
Taken with Nikon D5100 and Sigma 14mm EX f2.8 HSM lens.
Took this two evenings ago. The sun is now setting far to the south. In a couple of days, the days will slowly get longer and sunset will move to the north. By midsummer, the sun will once again shine into my north-facing home. Yay!!
It's hard to believe in someone you thought was lost
Don't give up on us
Don't give up on love
Don't walk away in silence
Please don't walk away
Don't walk away in silence
I'm not the man I used to be...
i wish my scanner made the colours of my polaroids look like they do in real life. i also wish my scanner didn't inexplicably dump huge deposits of dust all over every scan out of nowhere!

Darquain oilfield is located in southwestern part of Iran. One of the best scene one can see in this harsh climate is the dawn/sunset.

An "untouched" (No Photoshop adjustments or tweaks at all! A first for me.) photo of a beautiful sunset on July 3, 2010, on Assateague Island, VA.
This is probably one of my best photos to date. If you really like it, I've set it up so that prints can be purchased via Snapfish or on Deviant Art (greyloch-md)

Sunset over the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, Italy.
HDR from RAW, ISO 100, 40mm, f/5 @ 1/1600sec.
Tried to keep the silhouette look while filling in some foreground color. Hard to capture what this really looked like. Extremely wide dynamic range, from the subtle colors of the hillside and the buildings in the foreground to the skies totally opening up above.

Part of the crane by the "Aurajoki" river at sunset in Turku, Finland. (Canon EOS 50D + Canon EF 28-300mm L IS)
This is a photograph that I had used as part of a panaramic. The sun had backlit these clouds beautifully and pink rays of light could be seen coming out from the otherwise hidden setting sun.
Salwick Bay near Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast is a mecca for photographers in this region. This was taken in Summer 2012 when we hd a series of colurful sunsets. This took 12 minutes to expose.
Each evening, weather conditions permitting, Nikos takes his little two seater light aircraft for a short sunset flight over Pefkos. I took these photos one evening, little knowing that the following evening I would be lucky enough to accompany him as he flew over the bay!
Thank you Nikos for a wonderful birthday gift!
