A small spit of land curls around the eastern end of Egg Harbor providing an interesting foreground for late summer sunsets.

The plane successfully missed the thunderstorm in a manoeuvre that Toronto Tower recommended for safety, on a 15 minute fly around that took us over Lake Superior & Thunder Bay and back to Toronto. Maui is an amazing place of many natural wonders. I was delighted one evening while driving on Highway 31 coming back from Haleakala National Park. I was struck in awe as I rounded a bend in the road. The scene was breath taking and I had only moments to capture it.
This photograph is a composite of two images pieced together by hand. I didn’t have time to setup a tripod, so there was quite a bit of work in post-processing.
