Just a quick upload before work as I woke up earlier than I intended to and could not get back to sleep; here is a portion (not cropped or reduced from a larger image, just zoomed in more on one section of horizon rather than the sky as a whole) of the fiery, intense twilight sky last Friday night, when I knew there would be intense atmospherics due to the fact that the weather spent the entire day shifting between drizzly overcast to bright, hot sunshine!

Taransay is a small island off the west coast of south Harris. It was one of several remote islands we recently visited on a 2wk sailing voyage round the Hebrides on my friend Eddie's yacht Boomerang. It came to prominence as the location for the BBC's 'Castaway 2000' series. It is a wonderful, peaceful spot with ruined sheilings, forgotten lazy-beds and wild deer. There was a large whale bone washed up on the beach when we were there and the only footprints in the sand were from an otter. However the midgies were terrible!

Some days I find it really hard to get a shot I'm happy with for my 365. Other days I have more than one to choose from! Today was one of those days where I couldn't decide which one to put in my 365. As it's my sister's 50th birthday today, she had to go in my 365 but this evening a storm came over at dusk - we had a double rainbow and an impressive stormy sunset so I couldn't resist popping out again and getting a few more shots! This one is sooc except for slight crop and watermark.
