Whenever the sky is on fire, I rush out with my camera...This is one shot I took right from my terrace!

An interesting experiment for me. Could I capture a realistic landscape encompassing both the remarkable sky and the beautifully back lit grasses of the wetlands, without that over-baked HDR 'look'? Compare to "Wetlands Sunset" www.flickr.com/photos/michael_1/6080989896/, taken less than two minutes previous to this one. I hope you enjoy this very different rendition also!
Three exposures were taken, bracketing +/- 2 stops. Merged and tonemapped in Photomatix Pro, final tweaking in Topaz Adjust.

Sunset numa lagoa às margens da RN 064 que liga as Cidades de Ceará-Mirim e Pureza.
Tenha um dia iluminado.
Internet was out at the house tonight so decided to go to river for sunset. Clouds didn't play nice, but I found this pile of brush to use as foreground and grabbed a few shots with the polarizer and reverse ND grad. It's not the prettiest sunset, but better than no sunset at all.
