sunset with the sun obligingly peeping through the old window of the standing gable end of the building on the headland.
Was at the UT Arlington baseball game the other night and was able to capture this beautiful sunset with my phone camera.
Captured this chap walking his dog as I was setting up to shoot a sunset in the other direction - I couldn't resist a quick shot of them.
After a walk in a rather gloomy weather the sky suddenly became clear and a beautiful glowing sunset was presented.
This is one of 3 sunset pics I will be uploading over the next day or so taken from a different spot; this one from the Gooseneck bridge that connects Oceanport and Little Silver. Now that the sun is setting earlier, this will be my new 'Sunset Spot'
Happy Slider Sunday ... minimal editing here, the natural sky colors and contrasts were strong enough .. a very slight boost of color intensity, sharpen and a tiny amt of HDR.
As a kid I remember hearing these words being sung on a Christian radio broadcast. This was in the seventies. I had a Roberts radio and each night would lie in bed and tune in to this station. ( when I could find it! )
Hope you enjoy them...
Beyond the sunset
Oh, blissful morning
When with our Savior
Heaven's begun
Earth's toiling ended
Oh, glorious dawning
Beyond the sunset
When day is done
(Spoken)
Beyond the sunset
No clouds will gather
No storms will threaten
No fears annoy
Oh, day of gladness
Oh, day unending
Beyond the sunset
Eternal joy
Beyond the sunset
Oh, glad reunion
With our dear loved ones
Who've gone before
In that fair homeland
We'll know no parting
Beyond the sunset
Forever more

View from Lee on Solent Beach of the sun setting behind Southampton.
Taken just as the last of the sun was sinking below the horizon.
I was playing pool at the time and had to finish of the game quick time when I saw the view outside.
A perfect sunset to end a perfect day :)
