The weather had been miserable for several days, and then this day was given to us. A fabulous ending to a fabulous day.
Plage de l'Almanarre, Hyères, Var, PACA, France
I often go to this beach as it is located just next to the Salins d'Hyères, salt marshes rich in birdlife diversity. The sunsets there are quite breathtaking.
Not only are the sunsets spectacular, but they seem to last longer as well! The more I look at last summer's photos from this place, the more I want to return.

October will have been the month of glorious sunsets and stunning skies that lit up like they rarely do..... this particular evening glowed with the most spectacular orange.

Sully Island is a tidal island just off the coast between Penarth and Barry. You can walk across to the island via a causeway that is uncovered for a while either side of low tide (if you are careful!).
I'm perched on some rocks near St Mary's Well Bay - and yes, I did get a wet foot through not paying attention to the incoming tide...
I'm seriously thinking of changing my name to Sean Hudson now..... lol ;-D
