Patches of sunlight touch a hillside behind a lone tree as the hill fades away in a light snowstorm near Bern, Idaho.
This bridge on the Chief Joseph Highway (Wyoming 296) crosses over the Sunlight Gorge at the eastern end of the Sunlight Basin. At 1,200 feet above Sunlight Creek the span is the highest bridge in Wyoming.
Over the years, I see summer afternoons and afternoons becoming more and more beautiful and distant from each other.

I took this photo a few years ago while driving back one morning from shooting at the coast. It had been raining the night before and once the sun started to warm things up a thin layer of fog developed. I was driving down skyline in the fog when I turned the corner to see this. I stopped the car in the middle of the road, scurried for my camera and got this shot before someone else might come around the corner and slam into me.
A good time for a bit of camera movement - intentional, of course...
