When the first morning sunlight resolves slowly the morning mist in the marshlands. About ten minutes later all the mist was gone. Unfortunately the capture doesn't contain all the chattering and quacking of the birds on this morning ☺️.

Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves on my images; they are very much appreciated.
For the theme “starts with an s” The combination of sand and sunlight made our recent camping holiday in PEI a memorable one. We did our first ever barefoot 12 km hike or “stroll” along the beach one day. That’s my footprint in the sand. The sun also created these wonderful shadows in the sand that brought out the wavy patterns. The scorched piece of driftwood shows how the fine sand gets into every little crack and crevice in it’s surroundings. Looking back on my images from the trip, I smile as I recall all the sensations.
With all the rain & cloudy weather, this lovely flower appeared after the last (at least for now) drop of rain ceased.

La dernière lumière du soleil. Un filet rose sur fond bleu. Le seul mot pour expliquer la vue : surréaliste.
La photo a était prise de la chambre juste avant d'aller à l'apéritif avec une bonne bouteille de muscat "vin" du Sud de la France.
Hrífunes Guesthouse c'est un lieu magnifique, avec un accueil agréable et une ambiance conviviale au coin du feu à écouter des vinyles.
Au niveau de la cuisine, excellente. J'en garderai un très bon souvenir.

The picture was taken from the room just before going to drink with a bottle of muscat "wine" South of France.
Hrífunes Guesthouse it's a beautiful place, with a friendly welcome and a convivial atmosphere at the fireside listening to vinyl.
The kitchen excellent. I keep very good memories.
