These 3-D Tree Of Life Agate Slabs look great as a suncatcher hanging on the porch, over a window, on the wall or adorning your favorite shelf. You can even place a tealight candle (preferably the flameless flicker effect kind) on the back of the stand, dim the lights some and you have a marvelously mysterious effect!

Window Art decoration for this Holiday Season.

I created this beaded suncatcher from steel wire (wire which has a much warmer, golden tone than is normally seen in steel) and glass beads. These beads, with which her wings are decorated, come in varying shades of turquoise and red.

The lower wings of this butterfly curve into a point at the ends. Between these two points, this suncatcher measures 18cm (7") wide. From the tops of its wings to the bottom, it measures 14cm (5.5") high. A loop of clear plastic thread is tied through a loop between her curled antennae, allowing her to be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little colourful, quirky style.

This suncatcher was created for the UK Etsy Challenge group on Flickr. The theme for March is "Red and turquoise". Visit www.flickr.com/groups/uketsychallenge/ for more entries to the Challenge.

suncatcher en trance

This skully suncatcher has been created from steel wire and a mixture of red glass beads and grey plastic skull beads. It has been created in four sections, so that each piece moves individually. The last of these sections is in the shape of a heart at the end.

This piece measures 24.5cm (just under 10") long. It could be hung by a window, or perhaps on a wall. It could also be hung with some of my other long beaded suncatchers, to give the look of a mini beaded curtain.

These cards have a stylised Christmas tree handpainted onto them with translucent paint so when the light shines through the design the baubles light up and become jewel-like.

Developing the suncatcher idea :-)))

I remember making these when I was a kid. You put the colored plastic chips in the metal frame and then bake it in the oven. It's called a Make-It Bake-It. My 7-year-old did this one.

Cookies made using a suncatcher to press image into cookie dough....they came out alright except my bunny doesn't have a tail...Oops lol!

This pic and the one previous were a bit tricky to photograph due to lack of space and lots of shadows. The whole piece has seven strands of copper wrapped sea glass held together with nylon fishing wire. Sea Glass pieces rang from white, turquoise, seafoam green, forest green, brown etc.The last piece of sea glass on each strand is a short bottle neck and lip. All strands are hanging from a strong piece of wood found on the beach. The whole suncatcher is approx 38in wide and 78in long. Zoom in to take a closer look. This is a nice feature piece.

Pattern by Jillian Sawyer in "Dragon Wings and faerie things". Made as a gift for my nephew.

I've made many pomegranates over the years and each is unique in shape and color. This suncatcher is magenta pink with glass nuggets and cut-glass jewels in the center. Makes a great succa decoration and really glows in a window.

The Spanglemaker used one of my suncatchers which have very deep colours, to project sunlight onto himself so I have copied him. Don't I look cool. 8-D.

In my windows I use lighter colours because the darker, brighter colours if used in a window are opressive.

Self-drive adventures at Kruger National Park, South Africa

I created this Cheshire Cat suncatcher from stainless steel wire and a mixture of glass beads. Two dark green beads and a triangular purple bead make up his eyes and nose, while a row of clear beads make up the cat's famous grin. A loop of silvery ribbon at the top of his head allows him to be hung; on your wall, by your window, or anywhere else you like. This piece measures 7cm high, and just over 8cm wide.

Thank you for taking the time to view this piece.

Stained glass heart pendant or suncatcher. Beautiful ruby red glass is textured and I gave up trying to capture the texture in a photo!

Here's a neat way to truly brighten up your home with gorgeous art. These suncatchers have a lovely glow when the sun lights them up, and they also make you happy on a cloudy day.

My Mandala Suncatchers feature my original designs. These designs started out as paintings on vinyl records. Digital photos of the paintings are printed onto transparent decal material and affixed to an upcycled clear plastic c.d. I then drill a hole through the disk and attach a suction cup on a hook so it's easy to hang it in the window and let the sun shine in!

In the pictures you can see what they look like hanging in a window with the sky as background. I love how the shadows of the clouds can be seen through the mandalas.

This heart-shaped suncatcher has been made from steel wire and a mixture of glass beads in varying translucent rainbow shades. There's quite a variety - some are plain, some have patterns and ridged textures, some are small, some are larger, some are heart-shaped, and so on. These beads make a rainbow on their way from left to right.

This suncatcher measures 8cm (3") high, and is approximately 9.5cm (just under 4") wide. Hang it by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little quirky, colourful style.

Thank you for taking the time to view this piece.

This year I did a Make 5 exchange on Facebook

Suncatcher on up-cycled bevel from old light fixture.

This one traveled to Florida and lives with Linda Wiringer.

Most of these were painted by me when I was a teenager. My mom recently gifted these to me.

This star-shaped beaded suncatcher has been made using steel wire (wire which has a much warmer, yellowish tone than is normally seen in steel) and an eclectic mixture of red glass beads, and grey plastic skull beads. It hangs from red ribbon, and measures 13.5cm (just over 5") wide, and 13cm (5") high.

It could be hung on your by a window to catch the light, or displayed anywhere to add colour and interest to any plain corner of your home.

Thank you for taking the time to view this star.
