This stained glass panel/suncatcher measures 10 3/8" from point to point (just over 26cm). As a square this piece measures 7 1/2" by 7 1/2" (nearly 19cm).
I've used 13 clear glass bevels of various sizes along with accents of teal green Waterglass. Very sparkly and prismatic.
I use the spatula to gently and evenly press the suncatcher frame into the dough.
Do not push the frame too deep so the dough comes through the frame outlines. You need a good impression but when it is too deep, it doesn't bake up as neat and pretty.
I created this little bat-shaped suncatcher from steel wire and a mixture of beads. She has two red heart-shaped cloisonné beads for eyes, while her wings and body are adorned with a mixture of red and orange glass beads. Cherry has a wingspan of 14cm (5.5"), and measures between 7cm and 3" from the top of her ears to her bottom.
A loop of red ribbon loops between Cherry's ears, allowing her to be displayed wherever you like in your home - by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any little nook to add a little colour and quirky style.
Thank you for taking the time to view this mini bat.

These 3-D Tree Of Life Agate Slabs look great as a suncatcher hanging on the porch, over a window, on the wall or adorning your favorite shelf. You can even place a tealight candle (preferably the flameless flicker effect kind) on the back of the stand, dim the lights some and you have a marvelously mysterious effect!
This sculptural beaded suncatcher features three hearts in gradually decreasing sizes. I created this piece from copper wire and an eclectic mixture of green glass beads. I've also used steel chain repurposed from a necklace, and a ring repurposed from a keyring (which I have passed through a flame to give it a similar golden colour to that of the chain).
This suncatcher measures 27cm (10.5") long from the top of the hanging loop to the bottom of the largest heart, and 9cm (3.5") at its widest part. It could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add colour and a little quirky, handmade style.
Thank you for taking the time to view this suncatcher.
My newest design, Repurposeful Suncatcher, so called because almost everything in it has been repurposed. The gems were repurposed from this belt, as was the chain. The purple plastic beads were originally part of a bracelet. the blue beads, and steel wire are, however, new.

I took a stained glass class in year twelve as an elective credit. I had already satisfied my fine arts credits (I was in the music program), so I took this as a fun class. I have other little stained glass projects I completed hung up around my house. This was my final project. My teacher was surprised that a beginning student took up a challenge like this. We were only required a 40 piece project and I did well over 200 pieces. I got off school an extra hour early as opposed to the rest of the school, but I often found myself staying in her class the extra hour almost everyday. This took me a little over three weeks, and I won some awards. In the upper left corner, that is not a crack, that is the wire used to hang up the piece.
Inspired by The Mad Hatter's fabulously eccentric outfit, I created this top hat-shaped suncatcher from wire and an eclectic mixture of turquoise and blue glass beads. The outline of the hat was created from copper wire, while the details within the hat are picked out in stainless steel wire. The famous '10/6' label on the hatter's hat is also drawn in steel wire, and highlighted with delicate blue wire. Alice-esque playing card motifs, including a metal heart charm, also adorn the hat.
This ornament measures 14.5cm (just under 6") wide, and is 5cm (2") high. A loop of plastic thread is threaded through a small loop at the top of the hat, allowing it to be hung on your wall, by your window to catch the sunlight, or anywhere else in your home to add a little quirky style.
Thank you for taking the time to view this suncatcher.

Handmade stained glass suncatcher using the "Tiffany" copper foil method and featuring a beveled star in the center to represent The Lone Star State.

I've used 13 clear glass bevels of various sizes along with accents of streaky purple Waterglass. Very sparkly and prismatic.
I've been working on some easy stuff hoping for a break in this heat wave we're having.
These decorations have a large and small tree that are slotted into each other and designed to be displayed at right angles to give a 3D effect. They have a really modern contemporary look and would be fab used as suncatchers hanging in a window.
