This sculptural beaded suncatcher features three hearts in gradually decreasing sizes. I created this piece from copper wire and an eclectic mixture of green glass beads. I've also used steel chain repurposed from a necklace, and a ring repurposed from a keyring (which I have passed through a flame to give it a similar golden colour to that of the chain).
This suncatcher measures 27cm (10.5") long from the top of the hanging loop to the bottom of the largest heart, and 9cm (3.5") at its widest part. It could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add colour and a little quirky, handmade style.
Thank you for taking the time to view this suncatcher.
This beautiful suncatcher was made using Michael Dean's (Protege) Spring Dream lampwork focal bead. It was sculpted using brass jewelry wire. I added a spring bouquet made of Swarovski crystals, a 20x11mm Avant-Garde Swarovski Crystal, a couple more smaller Swarovski crystals, and finished by adding a crystal water drop.
It measures just over 12" and has a wire hook that adjusts to fit over a kitchen, bedroom, babie room, curtain rod, a hook, nail, or what have you.
I hope all of you wire twisters can appreciate this finished work of art and the many hours that was lovingly devoted to it's creation.
I love owls-the idea for these came while I was doodling waiting for pictures to upload.
This ornament suncatcher measures 5 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide (14.5cm by 11.5 cm). I've used three different textures of white glass for the body, black glass for the bill and lemon yellow glass globs for the eyes with hand painted pupils.
I've posted on my blog how this piece is created:

Microwave platter with stained glass and one little see-through metal butterfly.
I didn't want to grout around the butterfly because I was afraid it would disappear. My plan is to grout around that with epoxy.
This skully suncatcher has been created from copper wire and a mixture of red glass beads and grey plastic skull beads. It has been created in eight sections, so that each piece moves individually. The last of these sections is in the shape of a heart at the end.
This piece measures 30cm (just under 12") long. It could be hung by a window, or perhaps on a wall, or would also look great as part of your Halloween decorations.
Thank you for taking the time to view this suncatcher.
I created this little bat-shaped suncatcher from steel wire and a mixture of beads and charms. She has two repurposed heart-shaped charms for eyes, while her wings and body are adorned with an eclectic mixture of purple glass beads. Violet has a wingspan of 14cm (5.5"), and measures between 7cm and 3" from the top of her ears to her bottom.
A loop of clear plastic thread loops between Violet's ears, allowing her to be displayed wherever you like in your home - by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any little nook to add a little colour and quirky style.
Thank you for taking the time to view this mini bat.
Glass suncatchers at the back of a shop in Skaneateles, New York, overlooking Skaneateles Lake.
As you can see I cropped a LOT to get the previous photo. I hope to do better in the future by seeing more possibilities in my photography.

Taken at Holmfirth in West Yorkshire, these bright yellow flowers catch the morning sun against a backdrop of cherry blossom trees.
Show your support for the team this summer with this beaded ornament, a heart-shaped, beaded representation of the English flag. It could be displayed with your other World Cup memorabilia, or simply hung in your window for an alternative way to show your English pride.
I created this suncatcher from stainless steel wire and an eclectic mixture of glass beads in shades of red and white. It measures 8cm (just over 3") wide, and is just under 8cm (3") high. This heart hangs from a loop of clear plastic thread, allowing it to be displayed by a window, or in any corner of your home, to catch the sunlight and to add a bit of colour and patriotic, yet girlie, style.
Thank you for taking the time to view this heart.
This is how it looks with no light shining through. I outlined the picture in iridescent glass so that in the evenings it will be pretty too.

Title: "Cat in Forest - free form"
Dimensions: 11 1/2" W X 7" H
Description:
Again, another free form, this time experimenting with stained glass and a painted piece of ceramic clay.
It's kind of cute - representing a wild forest and a cat painted on a ceramic piece.
Since the ceramic is opaque, it does not allow the light in.
Having light coming from both inside and out will bring out everything!
If not, hang it on the wall, where it looks great too!

I created this Cheshire Cat suncatcher from turquoise enamelled wire, stainless steel wire, and a mixture of glass beads. The cat's head and body are outlined in turquoise wire, two dark green beads and a lilac bead make up his eyes and nose, while a row of clear beads make up his famous grin. A loop of plastic thread at the top of his head allows him to be hung; on your wall, by your window, or anywhere else in your home. This piece measures 17cm (just under 7") high, and 14cm (5.5") wide.
Thank you for taking the time to view this ornament.
I used a really colorful amber Bullseye confetti glass with specs of blues and greens. I complimented the glass with sea glass I found on the western shores of Lake Erie where I spend most summers. I then framed the piece with solid copper channel came and finished off with a copper patina for a very sophisticated look. Great for any decor, very vivid colors.
Measures 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" soldered ring for hanging.
I created this beaded suncatcher from steel wire (wire which has a much warmer, golden tone than is normally seen in steel) and glass beads. These beads, with which her wings are decorated, come in varying shades of turquoise and red.
The lower wings of this butterfly curve into a point at the ends. Between these two points, this suncatcher measures 18cm (7") wide. From the tops of its wings to the bottom, it measures 14cm (5.5") high. A loop of clear plastic thread is tied through a loop between her curled antennae, allowing her to be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little colourful, quirky style.
This suncatcher was created for the UK Etsy Challenge group on Flickr. The theme for March is "Red and turquoise". Visit www.flickr.com/groups/uketsychallenge/ for more entries to the Challenge.

(Ink on handmade paper.) The paper is layered - it has a piece of floral fabric inside. The pattern is most visible in the sunlight.
Cobalt blue stained glass and clear glass bevels combined.
This piece measures 13 1/4 inches from the top point to the bottom point, 33.5 cm.
Stained glass koi suncatcher in the works. All of the glass pieces have been cut to fit together. The next step is to hand wrap each piece with copper foil, solder, clean, wrap with lead, apply black patina, polish and enjoy!

This is David Mitchell's Electra. This one is a 30 unit assembly. I made it with marbled paper, started with 6 inch squares. The light catcher is cut glass, which I suspended with 30lb fishing line, and it also serves as the hanger for the piece. Before attaching the crystals and beads, I dipped the piece in melted paraffin to preserve the paper; it also enriches the colors of the paper.
