Tristan, 8yr, painting his rocket suncatcher.

Stained glass koi suncatcher in the works. All of the glass pieces have been cut to fit together. The next step is to hand wrap each piece with copper foil, solder, clean, wrap with lead, apply black patina, polish and enjoy!

Clara's bear suncatcher.

This is David Mitchell's Electra. This one is a 30 unit assembly. I made it with marbled paper, started with 6 inch squares. The light catcher is cut glass, which I suspended with 30lb fishing line, and it also serves as the hanger for the piece. Before attaching the crystals and beads, I dipped the piece in melted paraffin to preserve the paper; it also enriches the colors of the paper.

My 3rd attempt at copperfoiling

Stained glass suncatcher made with Bullseye and Uroboros glass in the copper foil method.

The "lace" center is woven clear glass.

I created this butterfly-shaped beaded suncatcher from steel wire and an eclectic mixture of glass beads. These beads, with which her wings and abdomen are decorated, come in varying translucent shades of green, and varying shapes, including stars.

The lower wings of this butterfly curve into a point at the ends. Between these two points, this suncatcher measures 11cm (4.5") wide. From the tops of its wings to the bottom, it measures 10.5cm (just over 4") high. A loop of dark green ribbon is tied through a loop between her curled antennae, allowing her to be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little colour and quirky handmade style.

Thank you for taking the time to view this butterfly.

I created this linear beaded hanging from copper wire and an eclectic mixture of glass beads. These brightly-coloured beads have been arranged in the colours of the rainbow, going downwards from red to purple. The beads loop together with repurposed chain and twists of wire, and there are also three wire hearts along the length of this piece. All this hangs from a loop of wrapped copper wire.

This suncatcher measures 68cm (27") long. It could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add colour and a little quirky, colourful handmade style.

Thank you for taking the time to view this piece.

cwd202: Spheres - This one is going to be difficult. It probably won't be too hard to find something spherical to photograph, but your job is to somehow make it interesting. No points for cleverness...the thing you photograph should actually LOOK like a sphere in the photo (i.e. don't shoot the ground and say the Earth is a sphere; don't shoot the sun or the moon which look like circles). Also, no eyeballs

A suncatcher, created for the for the UK Etsy Challenge group. This month's theme is Sweets from Your Childhood, and this piece is based on Love Hearts. There are all kinds of messages on those sweets, but I chose the simplest.

Made from copper wire, yellow plastic heart-shaped beads, one yellow glass bead, and copper chain re-purposed from an old necklace.

Newest flock of cardinals from Wayne Stratz.

This sculptural beaded suncatcher features three hearts in gradually decreasing sizes. I created this piece from steel wire and small red glass beads. The wire is very thin, giving this suncatcher a delicate look.

Each heart is connected to the next by a twist of wire. Each twist connects to the heart below it by being wrapped around the top of said heart. It is not, however, wrapped around the heart above it. A loop is formed at the top of the twist, therefore allowing each section of this suncatcher to move independently.

This suncatcher could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little quirky handmade style.

These 3-D Tree Of Life Agate Slabs look great as a suncatcher hanging on the porch, over a window, on the wall or adorning your favorite shelf. You can even place a tealight candle (preferably the flameless flicker effect kind) on the back of the stand, dim the lights some and you have a marvelously mysterious effect!

This suncatcher has been made from steel wire, red glass beads and grey plastic skully beads. It measures 10cm (4") high by 11cm (just over 4") wide, and hangs from a loop of red ribbon.

It could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little quirky gothic style.

Thank you for taking the time to view this heart.

Done several suncatchers and Margaret has made mosaic hearts, but this is my first mosaic heart. Our site is nutmegdesignsart.com/

I made these melted nead suncatchers for PRIDE 12 and they are great here

I created this suncatcher from steel wire and a mixture of jewel-coloured red and purple glass beads. It has six sections, each of which hinges from the next with a loop, so that each piece moves individually. The last of these sections has a heart-shaped bead at the end.

This piece measures a foot (just over 30cm) long. It could be hung by a window, or perhaps on a wall. It could also be hung with some of my other long beaded suncatchers, to give the look of a mini beaded curtain.
