This suncatcher is crafted from a beveled glass heart. I have embellished this piece with green cat's eye glass nuggets, purple glass nuggets, two amethyst colored faceted glass jewels, olivine vitral Czech glass leaves, tinned copper wire, textured stained glass that has purple, green, blue mixed through it. This piece was assembled with lead came and solder.
I made this mini mushroom suncatcher from glass beads, silver-plated wire and red wire. A network of wire in the top of the toadstool holds a mixture of clear and frosted white glass beads, while a raindrop-shaped glass bead hangs inside the stem of the mushroom.
This little suncatcher measures 5cm (2") wide by 6.5cm (2.5") high, and hangs from a 4cm (just over 1.5") long loop of clear plastic thread.

I created this heart-shaped suncatcher from stainless steel wire and an eclectic mixture of glass beads in varying translucent shades. These beads make a rainbow on their way from left to right. This heart hangs from a length of pink ribbon.
This suncatcher measures approximately 9.5cm (just under 4") high, and is approximately 9.5cm (just under 4") wide. Hang it by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any corner of your home to add a little quirky, colourful style.

A fantastic holiday gift, these stained glass stars can be used either as ornaments to grace your tree at Christmas, or as suncatchers to hang in your window all year round.
These stained glass pieces are individually cut, foiled using the Tiffany copper foil method, and soldered into a unique design. No two are alike.
This ten-point star is made with four different types of glass. The larger points are an opaque swirled sky blue, while the smaller points are made with "confetti" glass--clear glass with little bits of white confetti pieces (not sure what the confetti is made from, it might be small pieces of unmelted glass that have been mixed into it--I'll have to do a little research!). (The confetti glass has some natural bubbling within it which is due to the process of mixing and fusing, which are apparent in the photos--this is not a design flaw but a natural occurrence in the glass itself) The round center is a clear patterned paisley-like design, and on the small confetti points are tiny round mirrors which reflect even more light. The mirrors are double sided (i.e., either way you hang the ornament the mirrors will show, as I soldered them back to back and then together). It is finished in silver. There is a fancy swirly wire loop on the top for hanging to attach a hook or cup as desired.

This beveled heart suncatcher is embellished with vintage olivine glass pears, capri blue faceted glass navettes, montana blue glass pears, and a faceted glass jewel with green, blue, and dark pink stripes running through it. I assembled this suncatcher with lead came and solder.
This suncatcher is crafted from 1/8" thick copper wire that I have heated with a torch to change it to all different colors. I clear coat the copper to preserve the colors.
The wings of the dragonfly are made with blue and green rippled glass. The bottom wings lay over the top wings to give it dimension. This piece has faceted glass jewels, glass nuggets and a 20mm lead crystal prism hanging from the copper.
Bold and bright. This piece features two different textures of ruby red glass along with a lighter shade of red in the border. The center is a glass faceted jewel that sparkles in the light.
This fashionable lady stained glass suncatcher is sure to please the fashionista! Dressed in a red hat with a white hatband and ribbon, a drop earring and a real black feather, this lady suncatcher is ready to hang in any window of your home. Title: "Poodle in fancy frame"
Dimensions: 11" W X 12" H
Description:
What an adorable image - white poodle painted on clay, surrounded by glass stylized floral, which serves as a frame.
It can be hung in a window (IT HAS BEEN WIRED ALREADY), placed on a clear stand, or hung on a wall.
Although I love the idea of painting a ceramic slab and then expanding the piece with stained glass, building a theme, it does have what some might consider a drawback...
If you want to put it in a window, the glass is translucent (at least most of the glass is), but the ceramic piece looks dark and is totally opaque.
If you have a light source from both inside and out, it would be great in a window too.
It also really looks good on a wall!

This window in our house really needed something to improve the view (it faces a wall).
I found an artist who makes really nice handmade stained glass pieces, and I bought this one because I really loved the meditative mandala geometry.
I think the pattern will also complement the flowers that will eventually bloom in the ground next to the wall. You can see a few of them starting to pop up. (go Spring!)
I created this beaded suncatcher from steel wire (wire which has a much warmer, golden tone than is normally seen in steel) and glass beads. These beads, with which her wings are decorated, come in varying shades of turquoise and red.
The lower wings of this butterfly curve into a point at the ends. Between these two points, this suncatcher measures 18cm (7") wide. From the tops of its wings to the bottom, it measures 14cm (5.5") high. A loop of clear plastic thread is tied through a loop between her curled antennae, allowing her to be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little colourful, quirky style.
This suncatcher was created for the UK Etsy Challenge group. The theme for March is "Red and turquoise". Visit www.flickr.com/groups/uketsychallenge/ for more entries to the Challenge.

Four suncatchers made with mirror, mirrored tiles and glass gems on jar lids. Idea from Sonia King's book. These are now hanging in our mango tree keeping the birds away.
I've gone rainbow crazy lately. It'll look much better when the sun comes out.
This balloon measures 10 3/4" tall by 8" wide (27cm by 21cm).

This beveled heart suncatcher is embellished with flowers that I made from vintage aqua colored faceted glass hearts that were made in Germany during the 1960's. I've also added aqua colored glass nuggets, wire scroll work, and olivine AB Czech glass leaves to this piece. This suncatcher was assembled with lead came and solder.
I made the main star shape in this sculptural suncatcher from 1.2mm thick galvanised steel wire. Within this star, there is a mixture of purple glass beads, on steel wire approximately 0.6mm thick. This suncatcher measures 16cm (just over 6") from the tip of the hanging loop to the base, and 14.5cm (just under 6") at the widest point of the star itself. This star could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, or in any plain corner of your home to add a little colourful, quirky style.
Shown here hanging from my Gnarled tree sculpture.

Filmwijk Almere - Suncatcher houses by Herman Hertzberger Architects.
After the experimental residential neighbourhoods 'De Fantasie' (Imagination) and 'De Realiteit' (Reality) were completed in the 1980s, other notable neighbourhoods were built, especially as a result of a construction exhibition, named 'BouwRai Expo'. Entire neighbourhoods were designed and built, namely the Muziekwijk neighbourhood (1990) and the Filmwijk neighbourhood (1992) in the centre of Almere, and more recently the Eilandenbuurt (Islands neighbourhood) (2001) in the outskirts of Almere.
My new collection of "Sea Coral Glass Art" Collection. This stunning fused glass abstract design is 9" in diameter.
Perfect as Wall Decor art glass or a shimmering Suncatcher.
I bought this stained glass suncatcher at an art fair quite a few years ago. The string broke, so it's been laying around in various spots, but I set it in the window yesterday so I can use it for the All New Scavenger Hunt #17 - A swan.
GLASSWORKS NORTHWEST - GIRL CAT - FUSED GLASS GARDEN ART
This is totally cute!
A piece of art for the garden or planter -- a fused-glass girl cat! Colors are black, purple, green and white glass.
I make each cat myself in my home studio by cutting the glass to size and firing the pieces in one of my three kilns. Everything is properly annealed so the glass is strong, very shiny and durable.
I also make the metal stake by soldering the pieces and using all-weather epoxy to attach it to the back of the cat.
Approx size: glass cat is 6 inches wide by 3 inches tall. Stake is 18 inches.
