Studying medicine in Russia is comparatively cheaper than European countries. The average yearly fee for MBBS is around 5000 USD, which differs from one college to another. This comes to INR 3, 15,000 per year, considering the conversion rate of dollar to Indian Rupee is 63 and the amount is likely to differ according to the changes in the exchange rate of the American Dollar. Other expenses include hostel fees which come to around 600 USD per year, translating to about INR 3, 78, 00 per year. A student must also keep a sum of 300 USD, that is, INR 18900, aside every year for purpose such as medical check up, insurance and visa. Apart from this, students must also keep an average amount of 5700 USD or INR 3, 59, 100 aside for yearly expenses on food, utilities, travel and miscellaneous expenses.

There are many study rooms like this scattered throughout the academic building at Amsterdam University College. I chose to include a photograph of one of them in my journal because they have been a really important part of my academic experience. AUC is such a small community with a focus on multidisciplinary liberal arts learning and with this comes the assignment of many group projects and presentations. I am constantly meeting with people in my classes to discuss such topics and these study rooms are very convenient. This particular study room was also the home to the oral midterm exam for my Economic Thought in a Historical Perspective course. At first I was very nervous about an oral exam being worth so much of my grade because I had never taken one before, however, it forced me to learn to study in a different way than I do for many of my Northeastern classes. I have come to appreciate the new style of learning I have had to adapt to here at AUC.

In my study. Most of my books are conveniently placed on shelves behind me. So, when I don't want to study, I simply face the computer screen and don't turn around!! HaHa!

I have always thought about exploring the option to have Buster and/or Harley work towards being a therapy dog. I have been a little chicken to go try it out, but I thought what the heck! So I went to an info session tonight. I know I have some work to do with them (biggest challenge will be working on getting Buster not to jump) - but we are going to go for it. Lots more steps to do...but it is a start!

I brought them home a pamphlet to read ;)

n December 2010, National Theatre Wales partnered with the visual theatre company Fevered Sleep inviting the weather in from the cold.

A series of magical installations at a house in Penygroes, Gwynedd, took guests on an adventure through the four seasons that make up the local climate. The Weather Factory recreated a years worth of weather from the Snowdonia area, in one ordinary, yet extraordinary location.

Studying is over this time .... untill when ... :-)

This is like, from year twelve. How embarrassing.

If you want to be more efficient with your time when you study, then following a few simple steps will help you learn and remember a lot more. "Study Techniques" focuses on how to make the whole learning experience a lot more powerful, so that you remember more of what you are learning.

Activists and concerned citizens held a mass action and die-in to express opposition to the new gas peaking power plant in Peabody, being built on the same site as two existing power plants. Despite continued requests, the Baker administration still has not conducted critical environmental and health impact studies on this project. Participants at the action voiced opposition to the building of new fossil fuel infrastructure in an environmental justice community in 2022 and not fully understanding the cumulative impacts it will have on surrounding residents and the area.

Ian Levack first started using his father’s Pentax ME-F 35mm camera with a 50mm lens at a young age. In 2004 he received his first digital camera which was a Canon Power-shot Elph S-410 4.0 megapixel camera, and was used up until December 2008.

Macro photography is something Ian really enjoys, to capture the hidden world of shapes and textures in everyday objects. His satisfactory knowledge of Adobe Photoshop allows him to enhance his photography, quickly gaining much more experience altering the photos taken with his digital single lens reflex.

Post secondary education was not for Ian. He felt the quality of education lacked for the $24,000 dollars he was paying into it. Ian wanted to be known as an individual, not as another lifeless, soulless producer in the industry machine.

WiP (Work in Progress) of a painting called Ellen the Rogue. The first time I hired a Model to play a persona. Her name was Ellen, she dressed up like a Rogue warrior, wondered the Brandywine Park and shoot photos for references. These are life drawing sketches done in my studio on 6/22/2004. Art process heavily influenced by Howard Pyle.

Private Education

Over the past three years I have been exploring educational institutions that act as pilot to class mobility. It is the American ideal that one can rise above their class if they work hard enough in school. Anyone can be president, or anything they wish to be. These structures, meant to be the building blocks of one's future, are the supposedly egalitarian basis for opportunity.

By photographing without human presence I hope to create a stage-like setting, so that it is up to the viewer to project their own ideas of how they might experience each area. Through these portfolios I hope to touch upon both the advantages and limitations of each education.
