"Old age is far more than white hair, wrinkles, the feeling that it is too late and the game finished, that the stage belongs to the rising generations. The true evil is not the weakening of the body, but the indifference of the soul."
~ André Maurois
As I was doing this live-model study for the first time, having to incorporate the skull began to make me ponder the concept of old age. As people begin to wither and wrinkle, do they truly suffer what the media calls a "mid-life crisis"? Or, is the process something that is accepted and not made a big deal of? As objects get older, they become less attractive and useful and that's that -- but is it different for humans?
