Joaquin Crespo Manzano, known throughout Cuba as “Bebo”. Born in 1927, Bebo is one of Cuba’s most important engraving artists. His themes include social injustice, political repression, and revolutionary processes. We met with him in his home/studio and he talked of his life in Cuba as an artist. He still works in his studio and some newer works are landscapes in oil. I was utterly charmed by him.
He was an art professor for 60 years and was widely recognized for his art work, particularly his engravings of the atrocities of the Pinochet era in Chile. His oldest son defected to the US in the 1990's. As a result, Bebo was ostracized and no longer allowed to teach. He and his wife, Marta, are hoping their VISA requests will be granted so that they can visit with two sons now living in the US.

FAME (Florence Alabama Music Enterprises) Studios is a recording studio located at 603 East Avalon Avenue in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, United States, an area of northern Alabama known as the Shoals. Though small and distant from the main recording locations of the American music industry, FAME has produced many hit records and was instrumental in what came to be known as the Muscle Shoals sound.

Diversamente dagli altri HDR contenuti nel mio fotostream questa immagine non è stata ottenuta dal trattamento di un singolo file raw ma un semplice jpg scattato con la mia kodak z650.
Il motivo di tale studio è quello di verificare se, da un unico scatto jpg, al quale poi è stato applicato una semplice modifica dei valori di esposizione con ps cs2,sia possibile poi ottenere uno pseudo hdr accettabile in termini di qualità dell immagine e di dettaglio nei particolari.
Per l'elaborazione dell hdr ho utilizzato i 5 file ottenuti con valori di EV a intervalli di uno stop da -2 a 2 uniti poi con Photomatix e tonemappando il risultato con l opzione details enancher.
Sono accette tutte le critiche :)

Hi-key look. Lighting setup was one strobe shot at white seamless 1.5 stops brighter than main which produced rim light back onto model, main light was 3 foot octodome above camera and a reflector was used as fill below (which makes a lovely catchlight in the lower part of each eye).
Was a fun shoot with more pics to come :)

The chair in my studio is perhaps the most important piece of furniture. It has a history way back to my childhood...it's been reupholstered many times but is now worn and stained...and bestof all it holds memories of my mom. This was her chair where she knitted, crocheted, wrote letters, paid the bills, and watched television. I love that it is a part of my day, every day, to have this bit of my mom with me. #daisyyellowart#mystudio
