All images from my last project, all taken within the studio. My theme was focused on shadows, and the effect the shadows had on the face.
Shot at the abandoned radio station Propaganda Bullhorn. Buildt during world war 2 its main purpose was broadcasting the national socialists' propaganda. Most of the techincal equipment is still in place, including a huge diesel engine which was supposed to provide electricity in case of a blackout.

What better place for a photographic studio? Set in tranquil surrounds, with air conditioning, overlooking a small lake in the Australian bushland. I am sure the lawned area will be a popular place for some of her outside work.
I had an interesting conversation with the owner, who was very excited about moving into the studio that day.

I picked up some very cheap studio lights on eBay the other day. They came with a couple of shades with an interesting texture, so I used them to try out the lights.
Studio 26 assignment, It's a Wild World. Assignment was to photograph wildlife and a form of wildlife that you don't normally shoot (which means birds were off limits for me - it's about stretching yourself.) I can't say I shot a lot for this assignment and nothing else I shot was in acceptable focus, so this ground squirrel at Boyce Thompson Arboretum iis my submission. Cute guy
A studio portrait or perhaps more accurately a studio headshot. But a headshot with a lovely feeling. Made as part of a modelling portfolio photoshoot which I have written about with more pictures from the session here - fashionphotographysydney.blogspot.com/2019/07/how-to-stud... A lovely series of pictures. Thanks Sam!

Thanks to my brother I got the chance to use a professionals photographic studio on Sunday. It's shame I didn't have a clue what I was doing though!
Strobist info: Single snoot on right of camera.
Another test stack with the Nikon BD M Plan 10X 0.25 objective described in the previous post. Here I've stopped down using the additional iris and this gave me more DOF per exposure allowing me to cover this in "only" 46 frames (at the expense of some resolution but it's still quite acceptable)
