Wildlife: This is my pet Lesser Goldfinch, sleeping with her head under her wing. Note, even after several test shots, the activity did not wake the bird.

These light photos were a collaborative effort by Tom and Myself. His Nikon was used to capture the shots and we planned and executed them together.

Johnny O has been my friend for 5 years going on 6. He visits our home every week to play guitar and chat.
Today he was surprised to learn I have cameras and strobes, so out of curiousity we went down and shot some pics for his mom and dad.
John goes through lots of moods when he plays...and I'm attempting to capture those while not forgetting to watch the lights, focus etc.
John is in his mid-30s but he will always be young of heart & mind. Some call it a handicap and he just sees it as life.
first shot with the lumopro strobes. Turned out fine! Needed a lot of power to light the main subjects agains the sun lit background.

After last night, I thought that I'd give it another shot ... after all, a wise little green man once said "do, or do not, there is no try". I'm doing it, but I've got a long way to go before I'm a Jedi like some of the flickr strobist masters.
