wicked art installation where you hand-pedal the bike, that spins the disc, which moves these sculptures that are of a man doing a swimming stroke... and the power created flashes a strobe which eventually (with the right speed) creates the illusion of a swimmer in motion! SO COOL.
the band 'the material', promo. this was a really awkward shood. we had a short amount of time in a tiny space to shoot in this tattoo parlor/salon place in san diego. and we had to do it without disrupting business (the intimate massages going on in the dorrs right behind me).

Little experimentation for my art project. Filming movement within space, effect created using a strobe light.
I got a really great strobe and umbrella/soft box for Hannukah last month, but I haven't been able to use them yet. The stand's still in the mail coming for China or somewhere, as all my parents were willing to get was the cheapest wholesale stuff from Ebay. (But I'll take what I can get!) Meanwhile, I'm using this shitty little tungsten thing I found in my attic. I can angle it around and everything, but it makes editing so much more work than it needs to be. Aurora came over and I tried my best. I hate that light.
