So a friend of mine, Ban Joo came over to my place to try out the new strobe that I've bought a month ago. We were having a great time figuring out how everything works and putting it together. By the way, I found out that the modeling for the strobes couldn't last longer than an hour before it decides to puff out some smoke.

For this image I made the rate of the strobe high and captured a lengthy exposure of the subject kicking across the frame.It's an interesting effect but I thought the strobe was too quick and end's up not revealing enough detail in the image

Strobist: Vivitar 285HV at 1/16 to camera right, gold reflector on camera left, and an old Bauer flash behind him used as a fill light. Vivitar was triggered by ebay wireless trigger, and the Bauer had a slave unit.

Battled with the light today, however, I like the contrast between the dark clouds, the strobe lights and the yellow wing flashes..

in front right one SB-28 that I snooted on eyes, triggerd with PW, from behind 5 strobes, I think ( 2 SB-900, 1 SB-800, and some SB-28) in slave mode. At one time we had about 10 strobes from behind but it didn't work out.
One strobe fired from the balcony at 1/4 power, full CTO gel zoomed at 24mm. Triggered with PocketWizards Plus II.
One Light @ 400w Full Power, Shooting into 8-10 mirrors to selectively light the doll. The strobe has a green and red gel with some mirrors reflecting red,green and white light. The tree branches are acting as gobos!(was holding them in between doll and mirrors)photo
