Practising again with strobes bare 580 left shoot thru umbrella 580 right and behind, thought I had better crop his ugly head off even if it does stuff the composition, just about the light

My first decent shot from the PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS by Timothy Buerger last April 28, 2012 (I know this is LONG overdue but the word procrastinate got stuck on my blood vessels).

Note: That time, I just recently bought a NIKON D5100 with no idea or whatsoever on how the ISO, aperture and shutter speed works. So, thanks Tim for shedding some light on how I can use my baby more efficiently (though I'm still struggling with it every now and then) !

Just a picture of my wal-mart stobe light I got a few years ago. I'd really like to take pictures of more UV reactive items. I just have to find some.

So what do you do on a sunday evening after yumming up some din dins?... Thats right! go out and have your fist go at some off camera flash antics with your Canon ST - E2.

Find a quiet- ish country side under pass and get all urban stylee!

I ordered a mini slave strobe from lomo.com a while ago and finally decided to make use of it.

Wistro to the left with beauty dish, dont think I had the grid on for this one.

As far as self-portiats go, these aren't very flattering. I think I look a little deranged here.

Just hand strobed this tree trunk.

Was pitch black so I set aperture to allow for wider DoF.

I've never used a strobe light I've had since my early teenage years for, well, anything. I finally decided to whip it out and do some long-exposure shots with a really slow strobe. After 10 minutes of shooting, I was rather nauseous, but a couple of the photos turned out pretty well.

For the self-portrait challenge: Transparent, Empty (dryer), Illusions.
