Johnny O has been my friend for 5 years going on 6. He visits our home every week to play guitar and chat.
Today he was surprised to learn I have cameras and strobes, so out of curiousity we went down and shot some pics for his mom and dad.
John goes through lots of moods when he plays...and I'm attempting to capture those while not forgetting to watch the lights, focus etc.
John is in his mid-30s but he will always be young of heart & mind. Some call it a handicap and he just sees it as life.
This shot was made using Sony Cybershot T10 point-and-shot camera.
5-led lamp in impulse mode and camera movements. Exposure is 8 sec.
Fun at the Studio, where our students learn how to shot a variety of styles, from Fashion to Products.

2- SB-800's behind and to each side of the subject providing rim light set at 1/64
1 SB-910 in Lastolite Ezybox Speed-Lite camera left set to 1/4
1 SB-910 for background light set at 1/128 power zoomed all the way, pointed straight up near backdrop.
Helping a friend with her project and shot some food a while back, kinda noticed it again going through my own files and redid my own processing. This is what i ended up with!

Stopped by to pray at Otahuhu mosque. First try i gave him my handset at full brightness level which is not that significant. Asked my friend to switch on the van front light to lit the model. The white wall on the left (not seen in picture) act as reflector.
