Prokit-type softbox. Finished and ready to attach to the flash. The plastic in the mouth of the softbox helps to diffuse the light. The oval shape is a piece of aluminium tape on the inside. It's there to throw back the light from the hotspot.

Strobing on the beach for a buddys album cover.

My shutter finally caught up with the strobe. The strobe lights were flashing during this guitar solo. 3 out of 10 shots caught light. This was the best.

as you can notice, i have a few scratches on my sensor, it kinda adds to the effect but it's not good ALL of the time, so i'm getting a D60 for christmas :) all good.

I started experimenting with strobes; this seems to be the thing to do. I've had this figure on my desk for years, and he has never looked so interesting.

Two 430ex II's with homemade snoots on both. One on camera left at 1/32, one on camera right at 1/64 triggered via canon st-e2.
