After a six month downtime, due to some warranty repairs... (the sordid details here) I have my Panasonic Lumix FZ4 back as of today! Yay! I probably won't be able to take any pictures until the weekend, so here are some images I took over the past summer...
The last steam engine made for this railroad company. This engine still makes runs across country with a load of passengers.
The Big Boy Steam Engine sits about 2 stories high, and is about 4 train cars long. She weighs over 750,000 tons. The wheels are about 6 feet high. My Grandpa George use to work on steam engines just like this out in Montana.

Description: Possibly part of the Moonie Highway construction, west of Dalby.

steel beams first sanded with a sanding drum in a dremel tool. Dry sanded with 1500 grit paper and polished with Mother's polish.

Identity of subject, location or photographer (Some one in the family is all I know.) not known.
Most people keep a car in their garage...... not my brother!
He has been renovating this steam engine ...and yes it goes on the road....bit slow though :(
