The crowds gathered after a slow start on the Mall for the first King's Official Birthday. The Trooping the Colour took place at Horse Guards Parade, with the King riding a horse, along with Prince William, Princes Anne and Prince Edward. A flypast of the red arrows took place with the traditional wave from the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Mike Dobies, Bill Losey, Dennis Herr, and Tom Corris chat before the start. Dennis mountain biked to the road crossing and river crossing, so there was no aid except what runners brought with them, and water from a spring and river about half-way around the loop. Bill and Mike had driven a long way to run 2 loops, but the trail and the weather had other plans...
Ever since you walked right in, the circle’s been complete
I’ve said goodbye to haunted rooms and faces in the street

Cambridgeshire Harriers Hunt Club Point-to-Point Races, Cottenham. 28 December 2014. The Open Maiden Race.
After a couple of weeks of females only a couple of males (at least) turned up, and the fireworks started. Female ovipositing was a high light but unable to get a photo. The males are very fast flying and seldom settle long enough or near enough for a considered shot, unlike the females.
