Mike Dobies, Bill Losey, Dennis Herr, and Tom Corris chat before the start. Dennis mountain biked to the road crossing and river crossing, so there was no aid except what runners brought with them, and water from a spring and river about half-way around the loop. Bill and Mike had driven a long way to run 2 loops, but the trail and the weather had other plans...

I'm geeked to start a few things indoors from seeds this year. these are only about a week and a half old and they're growing fast (well, except for the nasturtiums, that is)!
Apparently the planning consent required the developers to make a start on the redevelopment of the Morrisons site by around now. But they seem to be behaving very well, agreeing to leave the current Morrisons open until it moves West and across the road in Spring/Summer 2023. So they just knocked down the outside trolley store by the entrance. Civilised behaviour, I'd say. Brentford will have a real supermarket continually.
The Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation recently held its graduation ceremony at the CSC in Wilmington, Delaware, celebrating the achievements of its latest cohort of scholars. The event was a testament to the hard work and determination of the graduates, who have overcome various challenges to achieve their educational goals.
As the graduates walked across the stage, the room was filled with pride and joy from family, friends, and supporters. The keynote speaker delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and the transformative power of education.

The celebration concluded with a reception, where attendees had the opportunity to connect, share their stories, and celebrate the success of the graduates. The Fresh Start Scholarship Foundation continues to make a significant impact in the community, empowering individuals to achieve their dreams through education.

I went to a Mountain Bike race last night with the idea of trying to get a few pics .It started at 7 pm and was in the forest so light was interesting , low and diminishing or full in your face if facing the wrong way. Toss in the fact I had not seen this track before and had no idea of what to expect it was going to be challenging I stumbled around and found a spot I hoped would give a few pics . The race consisted of as many laps as each individual could manage around a course wandering all over the place in 50 minutes , there was no location that showed more than a few dozen metres.
I got some opening and starting shots in the open then mainly shot from one berm I found a few hundred metres down the track. I used the 24 frames per second feature of the Sony RX10Mk4 knowing it might produce a few pics, I had a clean 64 Gb card and fresh battery.
When I was shooting I noticed the camera buffering a few times but not once did it pause and cause me to miss a shot.
If I missed a shot it was while moving from location to location later in the race .
The surprise came at home , I still had 70% battery power even after reviewing the photos on the TV, pretty impressive seeing the card was nearly full and I had about 3000 images in approx 170 bursts of 20 frames - some more some less .
Realistically this is too many for folks to wade through so I now face the task of deleting huge numbers and selecting the best of each burst for posting , fun hours ahead !
But it was interesting and I might have got a couple of keepers out of it ,This is the start before moving into the forest
