Long exposure, with a very warm light on around the camera and with the flash going off at the start of the exposure.
Starting in May and running through till the end of Summer, every first Wednesday of the month sees downtown Pleasanton closed to evening traffic and a big street party is held. This evening (May 1, 2013) saw this year's first "1st Wednesday" street party take place, with what seemed to be most of the town turning out!

Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies vs Pandas (PNZP for short) is an addictive new physics-based puzzle game for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad that is being compared to both Angry Birds, Fragger and Peggle. Players take control of the four factions, each launching their minions as projectiles at their opposing army from a cannon in an effort to destroy their defenses and ultimately eliminate them.

SHORT VERSION: pulled a 250GB drive out of an older G5 iMac, put a 1TB drive into it, and restored the whole shebang from a Time Machine back-up.

Let's walk down to Pittsburgh's Allegheny River. (We're starting here.)

Okay then ... 8 pence per litre extra on a 62 litre tank is £4.96, or 23.6 pence per extra mile. At 1.239 a litre for a tank that gives me around 650 miles, I make that 11.8 pence per mile. So, for those extra 21 miles I pay double the going rate. Bargain! For the oil company, that is. Not so great a deal for me, nor indeed for the planet with those extra octanes.
(to be fair though ... I use diesel which was 1.259 regular versus 1.339 ultimate, the same 8p difference with the same 21 mile "offer". The picture of the diesel pumps wasn't so good though. So, not quite double; but not a kick in the pants away from it)
A photo of Sadie as soon as Kurt lifted his arm back to throw the ball. I got another picture of her in this position, but everything was blurry. I'm guessing my hand moved at the last moment.
I first started photographing graffiti in 1999, and in 2000 I setup a website to share my photos. Initially a mix of different subjects, but it soon became almost entirely of graffiti. I uploaded over 6000 photos to this site. Eventually Flickr came along a few years later and I started using that instead, and stopped updating the website. I shut it down completely a few years ago.
I occasionally get requests from people for photos of pieces by specific graffiti writers, and I thought it might be a good idea to upload them all to Flickr.
Most of these photos were taken on film, scanned, and saved at a small size, back in the day when people were still using 56k modems to connect to the internet and small filesizes were desirable. So apologies for the quality and size for some of these. Someday I'd like to get them all scanned in again at a higher resolution.
