The Messeturm by architect Helmut Jahn is Frankfurt's second-highest tower building. Seen from the grounds of the former police HQ, it doesn't look very imposing in this view. This will be the last shot from my visit to the police HQ.
Operating on train tracks in the famous Maeklong Railway Market. In Thai, they call it the "umbrella pulldown market". As a train approaches, the awnings and merchandise are moved back from the tracks just far enough to allow the train to pass.
I first visited this market in 2011 when it wasn't on the tourism radar - today its a major spectacle of people wanting to see the train squeeze through the market.

Back again to the Netherlands.
We like to squeeze our oranges ourselves - but sometimes we use large and shiny machines like the one captured here at a local supermarket.

Just out of the water and trying to find someplace bask in the sun and catch a nap. Don't think it's going to work out here. Moss Landing, just north of Monterey California.

It's somehow quite satisfying to squeeze this soft and squishy little character. Made with a pliable outer coating, he's filled with some sort of malleable substance that is soft, but firm--if that makes sense--and he returns to his original shape when released from grip.
I think he's intended to be a stress relieving object. I received him as a giveaway item once during my working career (there's a corporate name on his back). And the best thing about it: No matter how hard or how many times you squeeze him, the little guy just keeps on smiling. :-)

There are lots of places for Milu to sit, including the large basket behind her but Milu loves sitting in the tissue box. I have had a really bad chest cold this week and there is nothing worse than using a fur covered tissue - lol

I think that most birds try to distance themselves from a perceived threat, and when that's not possible, they try to hide behind branches, leaves, or even single blades of tall grass.
This male Scarlet Tanager missed the "safe" distance by squeezing through nearly bare branches, which provided no cover at all. Thank you Mr. Tanager.
