Well we got a mish-mash of snow, wind & freezing rain this weekend, Winter is definitely here!!! So I had to post something pretty & bright to cheer myself up! I hope it does just that for anyone experiencing similar weather!
Here in the UK at moment we have to remind ourselves that it is spring because it doesn't feel like it with this easterly wind blowing.
I've just woken up the the fact that it is much better to keep the good old wild primroses rather than the brighter cultivated primulas, especially as the latter never seem to seed themselves, probably sterile on purpose to make you keep spending money, whereas primroses do and this year I have quite a few new ones popping up. Besides I much prefer the paler yellow colour.

"If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall."

Two photos of rivers. This second is the Beaver River near Beaver Falls, NY. The Beaver flows into the Black River at Naumburg. Still a bit of snow.

The sky seemed to have a springlike appearance but on the ground it still looks as barren as winter.

The water was flowing off the mountains in the Boxley Valley of the Buffalo National River in Northwest Arkansas after big rains on Sunday. This spring house is visible from the highway and is apparently a big draw for photographers during high water. A woman was shooting it when I showed up and another photog was there when we went by a couple hours later.
