You know, "it's all in the details" and that stuff. You've heard it before and sometimes it's true.
A beautiful piece of Norway not too far from where I live, about 40 minutes by bike / car and a popular fjord and destination for those who have a boat in this area.

Sometimes the images do not tell the whole story. In this instance it was cold and i was on the other side of the barbwire stepping in cow patties and wishing i was home in bed. These are the things we endure for love of the art.

Sometimes my fast-paced lifestyle reminds me of fragmented images in puddles of water.
Moving too fast rarely gives us the opportunity to see the whole picture.
Slow down or pause for a while and a whole new world suddenly pops up.
Sometimes the birds are too close for the lens you are using as was the case with this Rough-legged Hawk (Buteo lagopus) observed in the Beaverhill Lake area east of Tofield, Alberta, Canada.
Creativity makes up for what could be a discarded image so I hope you enjoy it. It is somewhat soft in the resolution but the overall detail in the bird makes up for this minor flaw.

Sometimes we overthink happiness. Just keep it simple and close to yourself, appreciate what is now.
Sometimes birds drop down right next toys when we are holding a camera. Such was the case with this catbird. I even forget what I was looking at when he appeared.
The Catbird nests across most of the US and southern Canada, and can be heard giving its cat-like whine or whimper as well as its imitations of other birds' sounds.
They are birds which I look forward to having back in the yard because of their cheerful appearance as well as their pseudo-enraged sound.
Sometimes, when the light happens, you just have to stop and take a photo... even if there's no interesting shot there.
Sometimes getting over the humps can be a real nuisance.
But sooner or later, the tide turns and off we merrily go.

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

You no longer greet me, as I walk through the door. You're not there to make me smile, to make me laugh anymore. Life seems quiet without you, you were far more than a pet. You were a family member, a friend... a loving soul I'll never forget.
It will take some time to heal - for the silence to go away. I still listen for you, and miss you every day. You were such a great companion, constant, loyal and true. My heart will always wear the paw prints left by you.
This is an old picture taken when they had only been together a few weeks. We bought Penny because Stella was lonely for dog company. She wanted a playmate.
Sometimes it doesn't matter which camera or lens you took a picture with, it is just the picture that counts :-)
Sometimes it doesn't matter how many pixel an image has, how beautiful it's rendered, how sharp it is and how the colors are.
Sometimes two colors and a few outlines are enough, to be just a nice or a story telling image.

Sometimes we don't want a lot of bright colours; that's when white flowers can be both calming but just as beautiful. White flowers are often more appropriate in certain circumstances also. Roses are always beautiful !
